Dear Soccernut, Will you help me? There is a Moderator by the name of sidspaceman. I have requested for him to stop a strand that is rude and racist towards Americans. The strand is:Gringo's Wall of Shame: Get used to it Gringos VOL. III. I take offense as an American to be called Gringo. I have addressed this to him and even said I would report him. His response to me was Go For It! To me and many Americans, we find this word offensive, rude, and racist. This is pure example of a Moderator that is a Troll. Can you please help me close this strand and report him so this does not happen again.

This guy is just mad cause sid banned one of his accounts, a sock, where he pretends to be his Brazilian wife. He's now created this new account where he now is married to a Mexican wife..... LOL. To be fair, you guys shouldn't have to put up with that. I've given people an earful about them using that word to refer to Germans. "Kraut" is used in a derogatory way, "gringo" is not.
Of course "gringo" is a pejorative, otherwise it wouldn't be used. Not saying it should be banned or anything, but lets be honest for a change. It's not a term of affection either.
In defense of Sid that thread is in the Mexico forum. If you don't like the thread or Mexican soccer you don't have to visit the forum.
Is the word "foreigner" a term of affection? Not all words have to be affectionate. It doesn't mean they are insults or anything of the like. No matter how much you think "gringo" is offensive, it is not equal to "Kraut" ffs. I've seen your fellow fans wielding these around at games...
