Peter Rivard has signed as the new head coach of the Minnesota United Reserves team. The United Reserves compete in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) Central Conference. Last season, the United Reserves qualified for the NPSL postseason, before falling in the Midwest Region first round. Rivard is looking to improve the squad by bringing in new talent and looking to continue to build on last year’s Reserve successes. Former Minnesota United Reserves head coach Donny Mark will be resuming his role as assistant coach for Minnesota United.

I ask the question because it occurred to me that United has some players that are borderline MLS players. Move the Reserve Team to USL be able to keep some of their present players on that team.
