Atletico at minus seven and we have a big match on 4th March and have to beat Girona next week too.

I hope to have Dembele and Coutinho possibly playing against Atletico.

They have a far tougher schedule over the next month than us.

    I’m not worried.

They are a formidable side now with Costa and others playing well. Barca must win that game and make a statement.

Marcelo now with a broken arm and a broken leg. Still playing.

Edit. Oh finally got subbed out.

Formidable, sure. But their next 4 away matches are: Sevilla, Barca, Villareal and LPB. And playing every Thursday night in Europe too. I see lots of dropped points.

I don't see Sevilla and Villarreal in good shape now. Villarreal almost lost against Espanyol today trying to protect a one goal lead. Sevilla get totally hammered every other weak by big margins, they will be focused against Atletico but AM are in great form now and have a large squad with quality around, today their back up cbs played, Lucas and Gimenez and they played awesome.

And yeah, I love to beat them.

Betis played amazing, with more quality they will be top six and Fabian Ruiz, we should buy that kid but Betis is a happening place, it was a cracker of a game and Betis did the same against Valencia too with the same scoreline.

They are a solid offfenoff side who like to win the ball up the pitch and cause havoc.

    Clear offsides, clear advantage gained.

Embarrassing VAR gaffe in the FA Cup match yesterday b/w Hudderfield Town and Man United. Goal was initially given. There was a major question of offside though. So they got a 3 year-old to hand-draw some lines to clarify the situation:

Too me they were far too loose in their passing. Not surprised they allowed five goals in one half against Barca and 4 in one half against LPB. The Seville derby was another disaster-class on how to hold on to a good result, even though they managed to outscore their opponent in that instance.

But I guess they have Girona and Eibar just above them in the table so Betis should be favorite to get that last Europa League spot (along with Celta). Personally I hope Eibar get it. Would be a great story!

True. Betis have allowed goals this season. That's a boat load for a top half of the table team.

Of the five La Liga matches this season that have produced at least 8 goals, Betis were involved in FOUR of them (!)
    Real Sociedad 4-4 Betis
    Betis 3-6 Valencia
    Sevilla 3-5 Betis
    Real Madrid 7-1 Deportivo
    Betis 3-5 Real Madrid

Man City just pulled a Madrid and have been eliminated from the domestic cup by a club with ~1% of their budget!

Looks like a full squad too, except they went down a man halfway through the game.

Pep and the tiki frickin taka curse. They had 80% possession (yeah yeah 10 men what ever..) and couldn't even muster a equalizer against Wigan.. Why? Cause again last night there was no plan B, no aerial strength or aerial superiority in attack, just a bunch of tini tiny players trying to pass it into goal [emoji23]

Nothing better to see a oil rich overhyped club and coach crashing out in this way [emoji41]

Fair enough but their attacking play and possession was damn good and thats what makes good teams.

But Plan A has the EPL wrapped up mid season. :whistling:

BTW, terrible positioning from Bravo on that goal.

Must be nice to finish second in the group phase and still get a team like Besiktas in the Round of 16.
