I hope they get Lewa . He's more of a replacement for Benzema so they would still be a hole, he wouldn't be cheap and wouldn't make their regular XI any younger. Harry Kane just signed a new contract. No way Spurs sell him right away. If they sign Mbappe we are screwed! Agree Hazard is the most likely to go there.
You make some good points but remember teams use a new contract with new terms to make their player more valuable
LPB just signed their head coach a couple weeks after he signed a new contract. Sport is also claiming that Hazard is also Barca's primary target. not entirely sure i believe that, but it'll be interesting to see where he ends up.
Do you know of any examples of players signing 6 year deals and then being transferred weeks later? Honest question. I know long term deals don't mean a heck of a lot, but I was under the impression it signified that the player would at least remain put for 1-2 years in practice, barring some financial catastrophe at the club.
Really ?? Didn't know that ... Edit :: Quote "Release clauses are also not common(as are buy-out clauses) in English football, but a number of examples have been reported in recent years, such as Demba Ba at Newcastle and Marouane Fellaini at Everton. As became apparent during the Luis Suarez transfer affair, the drafting of a release clause is key. "
According to Mendes, Ronaldo will retire at Juventus. Poor Utd fans who thought he’ll rejoin their club lol.
Good research. Although I think they are still very rare outside of Spain and I think one other country (forget which - Ligue 1?). Actually I'm not even sure if its a regular thing in Spain. Is it just the top 2 or 3 players on La Liga sides plus all of Barca and LPB's players, or does even Zaragoza's back-up goalkeeper have a buyout clause?
in Spain i think every contract has to have a buy-out clause by law. in most other places it only happens if the player/agent and club agree to include it in their contract.
This is why I don't watch grass court tennis. Just a bunch of dudes banging 600mph serves past each other. Then analysts will go on about it like its some classic.
Wimbledon hasn’t been serve and volley for a long time though. I think lately they are trying to speed the courts up again . In the 80s and 90s and early 2000s it was all serve volley. Could be more of a case of Isner and Anderson being big servers .
I wonder why they would want to do that(?). Out of curiosity, how many breaks-of-serve were there in that semifinal (out of the ~100 games played)?
I didn't watch it. Tennis became too much about grinding for points and not enough winners. And when they slowed down grass, games basically became very similar across all surfaces ... long rallies / base line points. Federer / Nadal back 10 years ago was almost like a clay court match. My guess is they want to increase some of the differences between surfaces again.
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu and now they stop Nadal x Djokovic match when its 2 sets to one for Novak , just finish the match ffs i won't be able to watch tomorrow
That's London for you. Pubs close at 11:00. Restaurants start shutting down at 8:30. Weird for a big city.
Moving discussion here where it belongs. I doubt it. Nobody reporting it right now. If they get it done this year, it will all make sense though. Zidane quitting (he did not want Neymar and I believe the source) and another reason for Ronaldo to leave.
And now Zidane to be sporting director of Juve ? That looks like pretty coordinated kick in the balls on Florentino.
