I started a new thread to get away from the one dated 2016. St. Louis is joining MLS and will start play in 2022. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019/08/20/mls-awards-expansion-team-st-louis They will be team #28. Just to recap, (25) Miami and (26) Nashville start play in 2020. (27)Austin is on the schedule for 2021. Earlier this year MLS said that they are expanding to 30 teams but no timetable was given. Sacramento is believed to be the leading candidate for #29.
Sac Town should get the nod from the commish sooner than later. Charlotte has a group together iirc. Would be amazing to get San Antonio in the league. Have four clubs in Texas and California.
What happened to Sebastian Salazar? Off the rails on political stuff, I guess he was closet Antifa when here in Houston. Deranged http://mobile.twitter.com/SebiSalazarFUT/status/1166059029858312193
He was also a former Dynamo and Galaxy player The Colorado Rapids organization mourns the loss of former player and Colorado native Colin Clark. We would like to express our deepest sympathies to Colin's friends and family. pic.twitter.com/Q2Clzf3wcU— Colorado Rapids (@ColoradoRapids) August 27, 2019
Played in 2011 MLS Cup Final for the Dynamo as a sub. Probably unfortunately remembered for an absurd suspension by the politically correct police at MLS
Couldn’t take losing arguments where his position is formented based on liberal views and absurd hypertechnicalities. I think he’s against racial profiling and police brutality but has no problem living in a local city that puts up a virtual wall to those of color. I guess it’s Ok for liberals to live in protected areas but want equality for those “profiled” when they just live in the City of Houston proper
Clint Dempsey had that heart murmur and retired. Then fought back to be able to play again. Perhaps Colin had something like Dempsey but it was never detected. Really liked that kid. Class footballer. Condolences to his family. Once a Houston player, always a Houston player.
I've learned way to much about this shit because of my own, now fixed but holy shit what an ordeal to fix, heart murmur. Murmur = leaky valve. Heart attack = blocked culmonary artery meaning insufficient oxygen to muscles of the heart served by said blocked artery. Muscles sieze up and don't squeeze. Two different conditions. Leaky valve means some percentage of blood is back-flowing rather than pushing out through your arteries. So heart has to work harder. Shortness of breath ensues, as it worsens organs get less than optimal blood flow. Other shit goes wrong before heart muscles fail. Bottom line -- while both conditions could exist they are kinda separate from what I learned. My arteries were great and heart was strong. Heart attack risk low but other problems related to murmur were gonna keel me sooner rather than later. I prefer later. Dr. Google informs us that undetectable congenital heart muscle diseases are a very common cause of heart attacks in young persons especially athletes. Sorry for the long know-it-all answer that likely is wrong in some important details. Undoubtedly some doctor who really knows what they are talking about will correct some of that. Also -- believe me -- they don't really know why any of this bad shit happens.
A GoFundMe has been set up to generate a college fund for Colin Clark's son: https://www.gofundme.com/f/college-fund-for-tyce-clark
Apparently bringing an American flag to an RSL game is offensive to some. That organization has got to be the biggest bunch of pussies ever http://fox13now.com/2019/08/29/controversy-erupts-over-betsy-ross-flag-at-rsl-soccer-game/amp/?utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A%2BTrending%2BContent&utm_content=5d6911114b188d00011b2b78&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=twitter&__twitter_impression=true
@Westside Cosmo Historical Researcher Colin Kaepernik (also the best NFL QB ever, and a Civil Rights Mega Hero) has proven beyond all doubt that Betsy Ross was a Nazi. /s
Next is the US flag... right now I bet "some idiot" out there is already thinking about how to get it banned. Oh, it will happen within the next 10 years.
RSL literally banned from their stadium a previous official version of the United States flag. Think about that for a second
