It was a game of high quality excitement. Congratulations to our boys for the special win and thanks for getting us a home playoff game!
So, did they take a bus? Are they flying home? THese boys deserve a hero's welcome at Port Columbus if they flew.
The plane will come in tonight, just not sure of an exact time. Stay tuned to this bat channel.— Sunshine Brigade (@SunBrigadeSC) October 27, 2017
The epic history just keeps persisting in this city. It give me confidence that it is too big to be bullied. Tonight will live forever, for so many reasons.
Hi Roy D Mercer! Solid game tonight. You could see the determination in the guys eyes. We owe them all a big thank you. I’ve not seen that fight from them in a few years. Solid. Solid. Professional game.
I have to wake up at 4:45 tomorrow morning, so I don't wanna stay up until 1am watching MLS post game coverage, so I really need one of SKC or Houston to score and not go from the best 0-0 game in league history to yet another absolute snoozer between these two teams over the last five years.
Apparently Garber & the rest of the owners must have taken Fat Tony's phone away so he can't post on Twitter... (Sort of reminds me of this, except Tony's probably not as fast as the Donald: http://babylonbee.com/news/trump-leads-aides-wild-chase-white-house-attempt-confiscate-smartphone/)
I don't know if I've ever had as much fun watching a playoff game before. I should have been biting my fingernails off, but I was just so damn entertained the whole time. That's the best 0-0 playoff game in league history. I'd have ultimately been cheesed off if we had lost, knowing we had a good goal wiped out by an improper offside call. I also would have been disappointed for Harrison Afful, as that effort that hit the crossbar at the end of the first extra time was a special effort that deserved better. Zack Steffen. Enough said. Actually, it's not. Zack Motherf****ng Steffen. ZMFSFTMFW. Holy cow, this guy is good. It's almost like he took the bad goal he gave up last week personally, and came out on an absolute mission tonight. This dude is going to be wearing a lot of... ok, maybe not, because keepers wear different jerseys, but his future teammates are going to be wearing a lot of red white and blue. On to the semis, and the fact that we just got a draw away to NYC is going to give us a boost. Wow.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong about this, but was that the first penalty shootout we've ever won, in any competition?
It's 5:42am and our wonderful owner who cares deeply about us still hasn't said anything. Make him pay for it on Tuesday.
A Groucho Marx line comes to mind... "I don’t care to belong to any club that will have me as a member." ,,,actually, we didn't have time to visit the Bahai place (and we were on a trip to see the Christian sites).
Can we take a moment to remember the ice cold Niko Hansen penalty? Two steps and buried it. Probably the only unsaveable pk that we took. Great. Artur had a few errors but damn did that guy cover some ground. I would love to see his distance covered number. He was awesome overall. Trapp not far behind. Want a tie! (And advance on PKs)
I thought so, which is why I hedged-alluded to that possibility above. I can remember all of the losses after kicks from the mark.

I ********ing LOVE the smiles on those guy's faces when they come in - Pipa got that grin, Steffan is like 'OH YEAH WE DID!!!"
https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2017...ion-unfair-says-he-didnt-talk-about-penalties The Atlanta coach says the loss is "unfair" because he "didn't talk about penalties." Cry me a river. Welcome to Atlanta sports.
