Is Redding expected to be a big factor next season?

Okugo expected in midfield or defense for Orlando?

I believe the Union are trying to sign Edu as a full-time CB, move Nogueira to DM, and aquire a DP or good-quality foreign forward.

Sapong has to be purely a backup forward. Not too keen on losing Okugo, but I think his starting spots were filled.

I think Revs started 10 Yanks and one Portuguese. In other news, Portland just signed a Colombian and a Brazilian and a Ghanian. They need to get rid of Harrington and Jewsbury so they can start an all foreign team.

I think that would be a mistake. He doesnt seem like a destroyer to me, more of a finesse player

Supposedly a deep-lying play-maker and ball circulator back in the French league, but I can't really confirm that.

and Borchers. I dont get why people here hate Porter so much. Will Johnson, Darlington, Nagbe, and Rodney Wallace are much more USA products than half the national team and people conveniently leave that part out

cj would be a decent 2nd backup at center forward, and I think a possible starter at wing forward if they're going to run a high press. He's not totally useless. People were saying the same things about Bunbury a year ago as well. In MLS it's just as important to get value as it is to get a good player. It all depends on his cap hit.

Curtain is a good coach. If he has anything to do with personnel, I think they're going to be ok.

Sapong did well in SKC's 4231 as a kind of 'power winger'. He didn't have the technical chops to adapt to SKC's new 433, though.

Meh. he was ok for yday's MLS. He wasn't keeping up at the end of the 14 season. Not sure he is much better than Nat Sturgis of Chivas.

Isn't Fagundez automatically protected as a homegrown?

Mullins and Neumann might get picked.

    The Crew left Schoenfeld exposed.

Surprised Philly protected their weak midfield of Maidana, Fabinho and Nogueira, all foreign and left Wheeler and MacMath exposed. They left 2 of their 3 GK's exposed.

Nope. MLS story says he is available for the expansion draft.

"Some of the surprise names available are younger talents like Homegrown players Ben Speas (Columbus) and Diego Fagundez (New England)..."

Here is a full story, including each team's lists.

seems unlikely given that bit of news, though I guess it's possible that Philly views Kvist as more of a box to box than purely a DM

We'll see. He was a starter for them last season, but MLS is a big step up from USL Pro.

I suspect in midfield, but not sure.

Some of these MLS teams are crazy with who they left unprotected.

NE protects three full backs, but not Fagundez, Mullins or Neumann. Even if they gave teams allocation money to not to take Fagundez, its still stupid.

NYRB doesn't protect Cahill who is still a very good player, even if he's been disappointing this season. Maybe that means he's out the door, but if he isn't, why would they leave him unprotected?

Philly has put time into developing MacMath all these years and even after he's done well, they leave him unprotected. Why not trade him instead of leave him unprotected? I understand that they are looking to move him, but he's a valuable asset. They could have at least gotten something for him. Also, they just signed M'Bolhi and now they are leaving him unprotected. They have so much talent on their roster at GK and in their youth GK's, but they don't seem to have a clue how to use or manage any of them.

Good calls by New England, all of them. None were integral to what made NE good this season, though Mullins was good in the final and, well, we all know what Fagundez has been capable of.

NYRB have moved ahead without Cahill. He's an expensive albatross at this point.

Apparently Luca Brasi works for Orlando. I mean, that's a fairly solid MLS defense right there with those 3 signings they just made.

Big moves. Impressive coming out of the gate like that. They have a good spine and the full off season to add on.

Props to Orlando for skimming some great talent off the top, prior to the expansion top.
Their management appears to be on top of their game.

Fagundez does stand out as perhaps the most exciting young attacking talent on the unprotected list.
Of all the players on the list, he was the biggest surprise to me. I would either guess New England just has
11 players they value more or there is an untold story somewhere.

he pretty much fell off once NE's roster got set. bun-b, tierney, rowe, nguyen and jones/caldwell made for a crowded midfield. he even fell behind kobayashi, a professional hotdog eater. if he can't beat out a man with an arthritic jaw, who can he beat out?

no, but for real, fagundez was the once and future king. i do kinda hope he gets picked up, gets a fresh start and a new chapter, and makes NE look foolish for ever parting with him. a lot of hopes, however.

Fagundez isn't going anywhere. The Revs gave allocation money to Orlando and NYCFC not to take him.
