True. MLS likely would've allowed Avaya Stadium to host the MLS Cup final just as it would've let 22k-seat Banc of California Stadium host it as almost everyone thought would happen (not to mention that those running Levi's Stadium wouldn't let any game be played there today with the 49ers already scheduled to play there tomorrow). GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
didn't watch the game only the 3 1/2 minutes of highlights on the MLS website......really didn't want a team from the west to win the Mls final but oh well.....at least for those on the outside of MLS probably thought it was a good match, with a crowd of around 69,000 all in all it probably looked good on tv.....but dreading having to deal with sounder fans for the next year.....please Quakes FO step up your game.
I have always found the combination of Seattle's rave green on that fake grass a sore sight for eyes. Visually unappealing. However, kudos for their run to the cup, very deserving.
yeah that green on green and fake grass is hideous but damn, they're in a different league and have apparently never missed the playoffs. so we have Portland and Seattle to the north, LAFC and the Galaxy to the south and here we are, stuck in the middle with Fisher. If he had any decency he should be embarrassed by how far these teams have come contrasted with our season long ambition, "just don't win the wooden spoon, baby."
That calls for some Stealer's Wheel. Well I don't know why I came here tonight, I got the feeling that something ain't right,"" Describes many trips to Quakes games.
At this point we need an injunction, the league should force Fisher to sell, he's obviously not here to play ball. I've seen enough Fisherball to last several lifetimes. this team reflects the character of the man at the helm; small, greedy, uninspired, flat, dull, and miserly. it is utterly maddening to see whats going on in MLS from coast-to-coast and meanwhile in San Jose *crickets* and a desperate bid to sell $189.00 season tickets, a FO not even pretending to care.
Don Garber and the MLS owners (especially Fisher) are doing everything in their power to ensure these questions never need to be answered.
Interesting take. The VAR is suppose to review all goals so I wonder how far back can the VAR go to see if there was a potential non-call that was instrumental to the goal being scored. Could the VAR review the collision by Roldan or did they review it?
If MLB hasn't forced him to sell the A's, no way MLS is going to have the guts to ask him to sell the Quakes......but one can always dream/pray......
How about that! The Quakes made it to Seattle after all! Seismologists register 'fan quakes' from Seattle Sounders ...
Gosh. I wonder what it's like to have a team that isn't favored by the refs? Sure glad we don't know, eh?
Just curious why that makes you react that way? Is it because you don’t like the podcast or the people on it, or you don’t believe Seattle has set a golden standard, or your envious that Seattle has set a higher standard than the Quakes since their time in the league? My guess is all of the above. Personally I enjoy the podcast even though they are very much MLS shills (very telling that they refused to answer Ike’s last question about which team they would choose to relegate if they had to). Seattle is a quality team and I’m a bit envious of that. It pisses me off that the Bay Area can’t put together a team that would rank more favorably than them. I mean it pisses me off that we aren’t even trying to compete with them- at most we’re trying to be a speed bump for them.
