Probably not. The difference applies when the University is doing something. Private schools generally have more leeway. Various colleges notoriously sell admissions to donors so maybe the theory of the case here is that the schools were deprived of their rightful bribes, err donations?

Kreis to coach U-23s? With Olympic qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo games coming up later this year, U.S. Soccer is reportedly in talks with Jason Kreis to become the next U-23 US national team manager. Kreis currently is working with 2020 MLS expansion team Inter Miami as part of their technical staff, and Paul Tenorio of The Athletic reported on Friday that USSF are in negotiations to hire Kreis. The 46-year-old, who was a US international as a player, has previously managed Real Salt Lake, NYCFC and Orlando City. After being fired by Orlando in June 2018, he's been out of management, but was hired by Inter Miami in January. Tenorio's report indicates that if hired, Kreis would work both roles. Preparations for the U-23 USMNT are ramping up, with a training camp expected to meet this month and the Concacaf qualifying tournament tentatively scheduled for October.

The last time Frank de Boer won a league match as a manager:- Barack Obama still had 3 months left in his Presidency- The Cleveland Cavs were NBA Champions- The Cubs still hadn't won a World Series872 days8 games13 goals conceded2 goals scored#UniteAndConquer pic.twitter.com/9HJes4XU7X— MLS Buzz (@MLS_Buzz) March 18, 2019 Atlanta drops points again at home. Doing a Twitter search on "De Boer" in times like this is revealing.— Subscribe to GrantWahl.com (@GrantWahl) March 18, 2019
Atlanta United needs to fire Frank de Boer. Not because he is a bad coach (TBH I don't know nearly enough about him to make that call) but because overreacting after six games is exactly what a team in a top-5 league would do and that's what we are striving for.— Jonathan Kaplan (@happykappy7) March 18, 2019 That's... a good point.
Crazy pills phenomena - Why is everyone piling on FdB and no one (besides me, seemingly) is laying blame at either Pity Martinez (for lack of productivity on the pitch) or Carlos Bocanegra (for offloading Garza and not matching a roster and coach that better fit. Allegedly)? As a man who has literally clapped his hands to the point of bleeding over the past week with 3 games I'm looking at the product on the field and failing to see how it's a problem with "the system" vs the dynamic of players who are missing passes, not making runs, and having lapses on defense. What am I missing?
I’ve watched most games this year (one way or another) and the team that seems the most hopeless to me is the Quakes. Obviously they sucked last year so the new coach had little to work with but man they seem atrocious. I wonder how long he gets.
If you look at parts of Brek Shea's game, he should be the best left back in the league. If you watch 90 minutes of Brek Shea, you question if he should be on the field.
I think that's a bad comparison when Darlington Nagbe does some things better than anyone else in the league... Brek Shea on the other hand (as I've said before), is an underachieving f*ckup who had 3.5 good months back in 2011 and has been coasting on that ever since. The Quakes been hopeless for a while now. Mikael Stahre had like the second worst win percentage in MLS history after some Chivas USA coach. He was fired and replaced by Steve Ralston, who failed to win a single game at the end of last season. And so far in 2019 Matias Almeyda is 0 for 3. 0 points -7 goal differential and it doesn't get any easier, their next 6: vs LAFC vs Portland @ Houston vs Sporting KC @ Seattle @ FC Dallas Fortunately after that comes FC Cincinnati... wait they just got 4 points in their last two games against the MLS Cup finalists The Quakes season could be done by early May. Given how bad they've been under three straight coaches, the problem has to be higher up the food chain, GM Jesse Fioranelli is responsible for their crap roster, and he hired the coaches. Fioranelli's head should be on the chopping block before Almeyda's.
As far as coaches who could be in trouble, James O'Connor still only has two wins since taking over in Orlando City (that's 20 games now)...
Hopefully Paunovic, currently 0-1-2 (WTL) next two games vs. NYRB and @ Toronto. Easily could lose both of them 0-1-4, 1 point in 5 games.
Yeah but they just signed Gaitan so that probably buys him at least until the summer. If they hadn't lost both their fullbacks (Polster to Scotland, Vincent to retirement at age 24), they would actually have a good lineup...
