PBP: MLS 2019 Season Week 30 Game Thread [R]

That was a massive blown chance from Antuna, shooting on goal with only right back Donny Toia standing there.

 

Not a lot of intensity for me in the LA/RSL game given the playoff picture. MUFC/SKC was much better.

 

Is there a player on the LAG that comes up past Ibra’s shoulders right now? That goal celly looked awkward.

Pavon with the assist, Ibra with the goal.

 

No chance he thought he was going to score on that header.

 

RSL gets 1 back in the 89' minute with 5 minutes of added time.

 

2-1 FT. Pavon's addition is starting pay dividends, and takes some of the focus from Ibra. But that defense is so inconsistent, and that might hold them back in the playoffs.

 

The shirts never stay on.

 

Mrs. Ismitje was totally ragging on "that guy" with the ultras who couldn't get his shirt off.

 

Portland has taken a lead against some lowly team.

 

I dare the Ultras to keep their shirts on for an entire game even if they are winning.

 

I guess that LA team wants some trophy thing.

 

That goal didn't count after VAR.

 

Meanwhile, Portland gets a second against the Revs.

 

That's amazing, even if (as seems probable) he didn't mean it.

 

The Revs are pulling a RSL with that late goal that won't matter.

 

LA wins the shield.
