Inject this into my veins. As every #USMNT game night is, tonight is a HUGE night for tweeting entirely bland, normal gifs of boring plays out and claiming they show "promise" or "vision." Great stuff everyone.— Pablo Iglesias Maurer (@MLSist) September 11, 2019 Also Mexico is currently be murked by a Messi-less Argentina.
I disagree. I went to a US-Colombia Friendly in Chester in 2010..........it was one of the most boring games I have ever attended. I've been a Union season ticket holder for 10 seasons now, so that is saying something! The US has traditionally been a bunker and counter attack team. Only when they play Concacaf minnows do they attempt to play on the front foot.
That is cool that you disagree, but I didn't mention 2010. The team I specifically mentioned is from 2002 so there are some differences between 2002 and 2010. I also said a "few" teams. Never said every USMNT ever has been exciting. Have there been lots of boring USMNT? Absolutely. No argument there. There have also absolutely been some that I personally have found exciting. Also, one game being boring does not mean an entire team/generation was. That is who they play most often so... They don't play the Brazil's, Germany's, Spains of the world very often (outside of friendlies they only play some of them once every 4 years or during a very occasional Copa America). The overwhelming majority of their games are against lesser talent of CONCACAF teams.
1-0 NYCFC. Mitrita free kick. Gonzalez supposedly fouled the NYCFC player at the top of the box. More like the guy ran into him and fell down like he ran into a brick wall.
I've read my bigsoccer history. Soccer in America didn't exist until 2008. You some sort of refugee from an alternate universe?
Yeah. I mean when the ref is in position to see the shirt being pulled a foot away from the attackers body he is going to call it.
Penso with the C&O error. NYCFC handball in the box. Pozeulo saved by Johnson. Someone tell the TSN announcer MLS is not playing by the “new” IFAB handball rules.
TSN announcer saying that it is a hand ball under the new rules. Would be nice if announcers understood that MLS doesn't play under those rules this year. PK called anyway.
Pozuelo has had several opportunities outside the PK to put NYCFC to the sword. Think early season Pozuelo scores those.
I get no penalty because of the order of events, but I thought it was going to be a red in the end too.
Yeah, I believe he called the foul just before the elbow, but damn …. that was a hell of a shot to the schnoz.
