And only got the tie in a VERY fortunate way. How is DC so far up the table? I fear that this team's results will fall back to the mean by the end of the season.
Did Quintero just express frustration with his teammates when he shanked a shot from a terrible angle into the side netting rather than cross?
And Minnesota subs off Quintero - who has had a fairly poor run of form since his two-goal game against TFC, it must be said.
The Houston Disco Muggles only have 6 minutes plus stoppage to avoid losing to an Adrian Heath coached squad.
Anyone else ever spent some time trying to replicate Callum Williams' voice (Minnesota United PBP guy), as Mrs. Ismitje and I have?
Colorado scores on a lousy play. Columbus turns the ball over unnecessarily, then they leave Lewis completely wide open. Lewis then attempts to let Columbus off the hook by taking a touch that takes himself out of the scoring chance and allows Jonathan Mensah to get back into position. His shot then deflects off of the now-recovered defender and finds its way into the net anyway.
The Fighting Meow Wolf's 3-1 over Austin on the road. New Mexico just might be the best team in the USL Championship as an expansion team.
The Crew hadn't really found Zardes all game, then twice in three minutes with the second one a goal. 2-2. Pretty entertaining game for the nightcap.
I predicted in our play-by-play thread that despite this being two very underwhelming teams, this was probably going to wind up being one of those only-in-MLS kind of games where it’s crazy. 35 minutes left.
For now probably, but it will be interesting to see what happens to Louisville after they get their stadium next year. (That's more a comment on the state of those teams in USL rather than a comment on MLS expansion and the myriad of factors that go into that.)
No idea how Columbus failed to score on that play. EDIT: oh, Kei Kamara is how they failed to score on that play. Cleared off the line.
