As one week of MLS action ends.............thus another begins! This is a massive week for playoff positioning & the Shield race. The US Open Cup Final is also this week. Let's get down to brass tacs shall we? All game times are eastern, remember to keep it NEUTRAL in the N&A game thread. Keep all attendance talk to the attendance thread. National TV games are noted, all others can be seen on ESPN+. How will MNUFC drive me Loony this week? (I will say that, while very hard on the nerves, almost blowing a three goal lead is a lot better than never having a lead in the first place...)
Anyone know if they stopped doing these weekly review shows? They were done like clockwork at the beginning of the season but I can't seem to locate any since week 27. That would be a shame as they are among the best produced content MLS does.
NYCFC's field is the single most embarrassing thing about MLS. Yes, even more than Orlando City and the fact that Perry Kitchen is paid in American dollars to play soccer here.
The moist most embarrassing thing about NYCFC is that we signed Jo Inge Berget as a central striker and have ended up playing a 5'3" Argentinean up front as a result. If we'd signed Wondo, yes Wondo, and he'd scored ten to a dozen goals, we'd still be in the chase for the Supporters' Shield.
True. Leipzig won today in Germany. Had they lost, I was thinking when Jesse Marsch would get elevated to the top post. Guess he'll have to wait.
It's ironic that 2 of the MLS worst teams made it to US Open Cup...Looks like either of them wants to win this one to boost their morale...
