Well your roster has been badly hurt by unfortunate injuries. When Kevin Molino and Ethan Finlay are both lost within the first 2 months of the season, for the season, with injuries … well, that's tough. They were 2 guys who were expected to be leaders on this team. Honestly, if they come back healthy next season, the focus should be finding some defense.
A story that's worth mentioning. Fernando Clavijo has stepped down in Dallas. Transformed a lifeless FCD organization into a perennial contender. A champion of the academy and the homegrown initiative. A great human being. He's such an overwhelmingly positive guy that we haven't really gotten a sense of how difficult his cancer fight has been. When we think of this FCD era of winning (SS, USOC, etc.) we think of Oscar Pareja's contribution, and probably not enough about Clavijo's. And I'm sure he's just fine with that. Much, much, much love to Fernando Clavijo. Forever a member of the FC Dallas family. Thank you for everything, @fclavijo. So terrible between Acosta and the other Rapid player. They are 5 feet away from each other, passing it back and forth in their own end, with an Atlanta player right there. So stupid. And lucky to get away with that.
Tremendous ball from Gressel. Howard, of course, is on the ground before Almiron even thinks about shooting. He should have been benched months ago.
You’ve got to admit, green tourism has done wonders for Colorado’s away section. The number of ATL fans crossing the country is astounding.
I find it hilarious that Hudson has the gall to say they are a few players away from a great team. Think they are 4 or 5 players from being a team that could compete for the play-offs. That backline is terrible outside of Castillo. Ford and Hairston may grow into that role but neither are going to make your team great and just replacing Smith won't help. As I type this they give up another..... The midfield is a mess and this Acosta at A-mid move is not doing well. And who the hell do they have at forward?
I'll give you 10. Castillo has been a good left back for them. Acosta should be good too but he is not the player for the position they have him at.
Boateng with an "effort on goal". I use that term loosely as he did hit the ball hard and it was in the direction of the goal line.
