We all know what that means..............some teams (here's looking at you San Jose & Colorado) are nearly TOAST! I smell a thread cooking
You've been watching MLS for a long while, right? There are always teams that go through a crap period, and then suddenly go on a run to make the playoffs.
Yes and I'm 99.9% sure this team isn't going to make the playoffs, we will be closer to the bottom of the conference than the 6th seed. Our crap period has been going on for years, Pauno is hanging his hat on the USOC. Edit: #cf97 chance to make the playoffs still alive at 3.8% https://t.co/x3TqZnIaGb— Guillermo Rivera (@FireConf) July 29, 2018 http://www.sportsclubstats.com/USA/MLS.html
I'm bummed that Zlatan skipping the All-Star Game means Zlatan is suspended for the following game in Colorado. Not much to see with the Rapids this season, I was looking forward to watching Zlatan in person.
It's a dumb rule. The Galaxy are paying the majority of Zlatan's salary so his suspension makes no sense. Also the league now has plenty of stars to showcase in the All Star Game, and missing one or two "Name" players doesn't hurt the event like it would have in the past. It sucks you won't get to see Zlatan in person this season. He's better then advertised. You get a much better appreciation seeing him play in person, and how easy & effortless he makes the game look. I liken it to watching Nadal-Federer in tennis, or Tiger in his prime.
"Thanks, y'all." - me, seeing that Atlanta fans have given a lot of their players another game this week while FCD's only All-Star is Matt Hedges (Oh yeah, Pomykal and Ferreira will be playing in the Homegrown Game tonight.)
FYP Actually, let's all be honest. We're all happy that the MLS All Stars are essentially Atlanta United. Thank You Atlanta fans for voting nearly ALL of your team to the game. This spares the rest of the teams players from playing a meaningless game on turf in the middle of the week.
Amen. I’m very greatful no Sounders are in it. Having to play a meaningless game on the other side of the country, effectively taking them out of the meaning game. Glad no Sounder is in it this year.
MLS ref with the on-field announcement after VAR! History made... however the mic didn't work. No goal.
1) I love the 3-digit Tigres numbers. 2) I don't know who the MLS goalie is but he looks like he's 40 years old.
