yeah but to be honest, Penilla should have been on the "best players from worst teams" and Fagundez should have easily beaten out Baird for the homegrown XI.

Baird is certainly more hyped than Diego is right now, and Penilla over Alessandrini is pretty obvioud. But no one in the media cares about the Revs, nor covers them with any scrutiny, so its unsurprising they got left off entirely

Absolutely. I don't even know who Baird is or who he plays for. Agreed with @tsb11 seems like the MLS national writers consistently don't respect the revs.

He's a HGP for RSL who won the ROTY after racking up eight goals and five assists.

If that's the case he deserves the plaudits. Thanks.

Hard to believe, but if you include ATL, DAL and CIN, the start of next season will have 11 MLS head coaches with tenures shorter than Brad Friedel's (one year, 19 days to date).

But, unlike good ol' Brad, they will have had one of those vague intangibles that silly people care about when it comes to being a manager at a first division club.... prior experience as a manager beyond the orange slice leagues.

Eventually, we all knew it would happen. While the Revs FO continues to bumble along looking for their first SSS ... a team is now looking to build their second SSS.

We all live at the Yellow Football team, the Yellow Football team. My first thought is: what an odd residential location for a non-fan.

More teams in the playoffs. Maybe that's why Friedel thinks we can make it.

Well, the easiest way to make sure we're in the playoffs is if Oprah starts giving away playoff spots.

"You make the playoffs!" "YOU make the playoffs! EVERYONE makes the playoffs!"

Then we'll became the Lake Woebegone Soccer league, where all the teams are above average.

Doyle is putting out his 2018 offseason article (written before the Rowe trade). The Revs at #16 are part of today's piece
