Sac should be in MLS on merit. A few 2nd division teams have shown today they can ball with MLS and are arguably better than some MLS teams.
I am watching, and with a smile on my face because RSL is bad enough not to waste to omuch emotion on. I lived in Northern California for a couple of years, and my Mom spent several of her formative years in the Trinity Alps, so I have a soft spot for the region.
Just got back from a night out on the town. Oh RSL Oh Columbus Oh Orlando And well done Cincy with the attendance! Good to see there is a USL team that can draw well, right @Knave
That'll be 4-1.. @SacRepublicFC with a commanding lead in the 71' #opencup pic.twitter.com/ureJILwDFs— Drew Bollea (@Drew_WCCB) June 15, 2017 My sister and brother in law are in there, somewhere, they deserve MLS. Losing patience.
My feed is behind ... Final: Republic 4 - RSL 1. Sacramento completely dominant. This will go down as a famous win, and the first iconic one under Paul Buckle.— Evan Ream (@EvanReam) June 15, 2017 In USOC play: Knave's Team 2 :: 0 @Ismitje's team
I was born about an hour west of Reno, up in the mountains. It's a pretty place. Now I live on the south side of the Valley, but I have a continued affinity for Sacramento. It's much more like Tehachapi and Bakersfield than Los Angeles is.
Oh, crap. There's gonna be a draw to determine pairings in the next round. So we might not play the Galaxy. This is terribly disappointing.
So the west round of sixteen pool will most likely be LA, SJ, Sacramento, Seattle. Southwest will be Houston, Dallas, Colorado, SKC. Southeast will be Miami FC, Atlanta FC, most likely Chicago and Cincy FC. North is will most likely be NERevs, NYRB, Philly, DC. Just my hunch. Edit: unless they scrapped the regional system.
Ah, northwest of Reno. I was trying to figure out an hour due west of Reno, but hardly anyone lives over in those little communities. I would have been surprised if you grew up there.
