Although reading the details of Arriola, he is coming at a high price. $3m transfer fee and $1m in salary plus what ever they have to give to LA to get his rights.
Going with Andy's post above ... Club-record transfer fee DCU playing for Arriola around $3.5M, source confirms. Massive statement. Wonder how that compares to Rafa's bail.— Brian Straus (@BrianStraus) August 9, 2017 Hearing that DC United will send around $500k in GAM/TAM to #lagalaxy in exchange for Arriola's rights. #DCU— Jeff Carlisle (@JeffreyCarlisle) August 9, 2017

Arriola spends approx 8 months in the LA academy. LA offers him a contract after Tijuana signed him and because of that it costs DC 500k. MLS as its finest
Who cares about DC's moves, at least they have a crappier stadium situation than we do................................. oh wait
Tom, we had Walter Zenga who was always mid-rage. Since the topic came up, are we the squad with the greatest all-time anger management issues? Zenga Franchino Gorter Nicol Jones and Heaps
The initial reports of Arriola's salary were high according to this FFT piece. This number below seems more reasonable to me. ================ https://www.fourfourtwo.com/us/feat...urce=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_m_medium=t Initial reports put Arriola's deal at $1 million in salary, which would have put him at a number few MLS-developed players reach. That kind of number would have highlighted a trend I've written about before, which is that players who come back to the league from overseas often have salary numbers that better reflect the global market. The reported $1 million number was inaccurate, however.... The 22-year-old Arriola is going to make an average of $675,000 over the next three years
His fellow managers are getting shot down all around him, but Heaps stands bravely up, proudly hoisting the flag of defeat.
A franchise that is not happy with being second to last place after making the conference finals? What is wrong with them? That's how the Revs roll!!!
A rule I've been hoping for for a long time. MLS to allow a fourth sub in extra time in the playoffs. MLS to incorporate Fourth Sub in Postseason; New MLS Disciplinary Committee guidelines with Video Review https://t.co/MLLYxMfo5o— MLS Communications (@MLS_PR) August 17, 2017
NYCFC are going to have to play their home game against Houston in Hartford. I haven't stopped laughing.
Too bad though, even with how funny this is, they could not have worked the schedule so people could possibly do a double header road trip. Go to East Hartford, watch NYCFC and Villa, then come back and watch NE v Toronto. It might have gained some traction as a "cool" non-conform, break the tradition, MLS 3.0 "thing" - and added to attendance at both the stadiums. Wonder if this game will actually pull fans away from attending the Revs game? Probably not - Villa is a huge draw, but Toronto is coming to town with Giovinco, Bradley, and Altidore.....LOL, just realized I am not talking about the Reve being the draw. I wonder if the Revs were playing like DC or Minnesota....
