Hi (new member), I have bought a pair of wave ignitus 2 and 4s for 11 a side, however I am also going to start 5 a side on artificial grass. Will these boots be safe to use on ag or should I go for something else for the 5 a side?

May be a daft question as they are blades, but I have read they don't really dig into the ground as much as most blades. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

    Welcome!!

I always used my Ignitus one and fours on artificial grass and never had issues.

I always advice people to use turf shoes on artificial grass :)

please don't. especially as you're using them on 5 aside and not 11 aside. I think they're fine on 11 aside, but if its 5 aside, the blades will take a toll considering the constant pivot and change of direction due to the smaller playing area.

Thanks for the welcome and response guys!

So if I went with something else, how are the rebulas? Would the leather hold up?

Or if specifically going for turf shoes - any suggestions?

Got'em!! Shipped from Ultrafootball in Australia very quickly, arrived in 3 days to Canada via DHL. Little disappointed the insole isn't leather anymore and the heel liner isn't suede but love the K-leather all around it. Love the Wave Cup and modern boots can't really beat it.

I've only used my Rebulas on turf and they've held up really well. But if you want to go the turf route, the Morelia Turfs are quite nice but I prefer the Monarcida Pro Turfs.

morelia neo 2 JP n monarcida neo 2 JP studs also ok for artificial grass for me

rebulas fine too though the studs a bit too biggish, i feel

consider changing the insoles to those good in cushioning like basic SpEva ones, for extra protection

Since I ordered two pairs of wave cups (one from futbol emotion and ultrafootball). I cancelled the one from futbol emotion since they weren't going to ship till Dec and I dont need two pairs. Got the refund very quickly. Guess they did over sell on preorders since they cancelled my order so quickly

Haha, you played in them yet?

anyway if anyone else's interested, Ultrafootball still have them in quite a few sizes like US9 etc.... but 500 AUD is mad.

Oh and i made a mistake with the discount code previously - boothype10

Haven't played in them and yeah $500 AUD is expensive but exchange rate was a bit in my favour and found a 10% off coupon when I ordered them. Wanted them bad, even if I had to pay resale prices

Ugh. I feel like I just got nutmegged by the worst left back in the league. I won an eBay auction for a pair of Wave Cup Legends for $310 and it said “free shipping.” Turns out that free shipping was only domestic for the seller: South Korea. Tack on another $40 for shipping to NYC :(. Oh well though, at least I finally got a pair ! And with the best soleolate ever IMO :inlove:.

Totally agree! The stud pattern truly is the best there is. Don't know why they don't use it for the rebulas etc

I think that they used a modified version of it on the Rebulas, or could be the 1st gen Wave Ignitus. I saw promotional materials that saw that it was inspired by the wave cup stud pattern.

EDIT: if anyone's hunting for it - https://global.rakuten.com/en/store/proshop-bd/item/0000000202550/

at $326 SGD its a pretty good price!

Shinji Okazaki of course immediately switched into a custom pair of Wave Cup Legends this weekend.
