I'm a fan of Dortmund and very glad, that the deal finally happens! Seems to be a really talented guy, after all I've seen and read. Is it true, that he is told to be the best Aussie Keeper after Schwarzer?

Nevertheless a great No. 2 who can be built up for the future.

For sure he is not a bad guy, he was nearly nominated for the world cup squad.

Okay, that sounds nice. I've heard that another keeper has been bought at the beginning of the season who should have played as No 1 but Langerak was stronger? Did the other keeper make mistakes or had injuries or was Langerak just the better one? There's a little discussion in german forums about his standing at the beginning...

The other keeper he bumped out was New Zealands No.1, Glenn Moss.

Langerak initially made his debut in late 2008-2009 season but impressive games made him the No.1 keeper in the past season.

Melbourne Victory's other keeper was Glen Moss. Unfortunately Moss is the type of keeper that relies on confidence, and after a few dodgy games that (and his standard); dipped. It's unfortunate because I considered Moss to be the best overall goalkeeper in the 2008-09 A-League season, but these things happen.

Shattered to see Mitch go. Especially after losing Theo last year. Where did you hear that he was the best keeper after Schwarzer?? Langerak is massively talented but I wouldn't say he is Australias second best keeper. Guys like Federici and Jones are ahead of him, i'd say Bouzanis is our most talented younger goalkeeper. I just hope the move works out for him and hopefully Australia gets a decent replacement for Schwarzer.

Seems as though Dortmund are very short on keepers, this will be a very good opportunity for him. Great move for the bloke.

He'll be the No.2 in the profi squad, because our former second keeper is leaving us... So if Weidenfeller gets injured he'll get his chance. But Weidenfeller is a clear No 1 as one of the best german keepers last season.

Actually, with Moss's suspension for the first two group matches it will be interesting to see if Paston retains the first choice spot for the final game. He's impressed in the role so far.

No.1 goalkeeper Weidenfeller has injured himself in training just before the game against Bayern Munich on Saturday. It looks like he might even be out for a longer time, we'll know more about his injury tomorrow.

Well, Mitch should prepare himself to play against Bayern Munich - it's THE game in Germany at the moment. Dortmund is No.1 and Bayern is No.2. Ribery and Robben are fit again, so they have the hope to catch up with Dortmund. Mitch could become a decisive factor in Dortmund's title race, either negatively or positively.

The game's on Setanta on Sunday morning, which is good. Was going to record it to watch regardless, but now I'll have to make sure I do in case he does get some time.

It is indeed a minor injury, but he's still doubtful for the game against Munich. A decision whether he can play will be made on Friday.

Nice debut for the lad, 1-3 win at Allianz Arena! Looked pretty composed considering, made a decent save off Gomez during the match.

Cheers mate. Heres the link for anyone who hasn't seen it. He looked very assured in the air and that save at the end low to his right was all class. Didn't look out of place by any stretch. Exciting to have a few options with Schwarzer getting on.
