Pjanic scores from free kick Milan players all run and complain to the ref and the goal is taken away
such an incredibly inviting cross..... some skills/touch on the ball you just can't teach.... and Pjanic has always had it
Important match against Napoli #Juventus XI: Buffon, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Lichtsteiner, Khedira, Hernanes, Pjanic, Alex Sandro, Mandzukic, Higuain. #JuveNapoli— JuventusFC (@juventusfc) October 29, 2016
Interesting criticism of pjanic http://www.espnfc.com/club/juventus...ventus-but-miralem-pjanic-flatters-to-deceive Similar to those echoed on his performance for the NT.
Well, isnt that the problem is Pjanic? He never really performs against the good teams where you dont have as much space and the game is being played at a faster pace than it is as against smaller teams.
Juve won 3--1 over atalanta. If they keep this streak going into December, roma will have a hard time against them.
His stats are pretty good this season even though he hasn't been that performing that well according to fans and match reports. Main criticism is that he looks lazy and disinterested. Dybala has been injured for a couple weeks now, Pjanic did play better with him in the line-up. Still has 4 goals and 5 assists in 11 league games. Would have 5 goals if the goal against Milan wasn't disallowed.
This should go over well with Roma fans The Rome derby?Pjanic: "“I hope it ends in a draw"— JuveFC (@juvefcdotcom) December 3, 2016
Imagine Pjanic scoring the winner for Juve against Roma then celebrating with Buffon Roma fourm would be up in flames
He now has six goals and six assists in 18 (16 starts) appearances for Juve. Pjanic also has one of the highest chance creation totals in Europe (last I checked higher than Pogba, Ozil, Kroos, Modric, Thiago). It can be argued that he is the best set piece taker in Europe as well. I think what makes Pjanic easy to criticism is that his attacking game is mainly predicated on his passing and positioning. He rarely dribbles opponents. His defensive side compared to other attacking mids is also pretty poor. Overall, despite a bit of a spotty patch (where he still contributed goals and assists), he has been quite good actually and a key attacking performer for Juve. With Marchisio and Dybala getting full fit, I expect Pjanic's performances to hit another level in a 4-3-1-2 formation. ----------------Higuaín ------------Pjanic---Dybala ------------CM-----Khedira ----------------Marchisio Sandro---Chiellini--Bonucci--Barzagli/Alves Dybala and Pjanic behind Higuaín gives Juve a tremendous amount of technical quality in the final third to pair with their solid defense. It's been quite some time where all three have started together in advanced positions.
