Calm down; last season Allegri eased Dybala into the side who is the most influential player on the team now. Miralem is a class player, Juventus would not have paid over 30 million for him to sit on the bench in the long term.
Yeah, wouldn't panic. Better to be safe than sorry when it comes to knocks imo, wouldn't want another Roberto Martinez and Besic saga.
#Juventus XI: Buffon, Benatia, Bonucci, Chiellini, Lichtsteiner, Khedira, Pjanic, Asamoah, Alex Sandro, Dybala, Mandzukic. #InterJuve— JuventusFC (@juventusfc) September 18, 2016
It's gonna take a lot of time for Pjanic to get used to this new role. It really limits his creativity imo
I only watched the first half. Khedira was was playing much closer to goal while Pjanic was in his own half most of the time, which didn't make since. The first match in which he started, Pjanic played more as a 10 while Khedira was the box to box and Lemina as DM.
Miralem Pjanic Is Being Wasted by Juventus Boss Massimiliano Allegri http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...-wasted-by-juventus-boss-massimiliano-allegri
I'm confident (praying) that Allegri learns from his mistakes. Most that follow Juventus are perplexed by his overly caution approach which has yet to feature Juve's strongest line up. ----------Higuain---Dybala Sandro---Pjanic---Khedira---Alves/Cuadrado ---------------Lemina -----Chiellini----------Barzagli ---------------Bonucci Although rotation is hugely important, it's difficult to judge this side when Allegri consistently drops what should be 3-4 starters every match. Vs Sevilla Pjanic and Sandro out. Vs Inter Higuain, Alves, and Lemina out while Pjanic is played so deep. He is overthinking things and it has cost Juve so far.
Pjanic asked for the Juve move so if hes not getting his desired role he cant really complain, I'm sure the coach will eventually move him where he should be but in the mean time hes just gotta go with the flow. If Juventus are gonna keep overrating their squad they will suffer because it will eventually cause some of their players form to dip which has been seen in recent games. Right now Juve's coach is not giving his own team any momentum in terms of consistent line ups.
It was only Cagliari , but Pjanic was fantastic. He set up the Rugani goal since it all started with his clever free kick that allowed Higuain a great volley. Admittedly, he should have scored on the second goal before it rebounded out to Higuain. His lofted pass behind the Cagliari defense set up Mandzukic's header that fell to an onrushing Lemina for the 3rd goal. This is why it's difficult to judge Juve. Pjanic has barely played in his best position which is a free role as an offensive midfielder opposite of Dybala. It was the first time that Pjanic, Alves, Higuain, and Sandro all started together from the first minute. On top of that Lemina has also been very impressive this season as well. Allegri simply got his selection very wrong vs Sevilla and Inter. To start a very very out of form and limited Asamoah over Pjanic against Sevilla and over Lemina vs Inter was enough to warrant criticism. Never mind that Alves and Higuain weren't picked vs Inter and somehow Sandro didn't make the start against Sevilla! Finally, Pjaca needs more time. At some point it would be very interesting and potentially explosive to see him start along with Dybala and Higuain. Considering Cuadrado hasn't even featured while Marchisio is set to return in October and one realizes that Allegri has far far too much talent on this roster not to have them performing at a very high level by October/November. If he can get the best out of this team by the KO stages of the CL, watch out. On paper they have arguably the 3rd-5th strongest side in Europe.
Miralem Pjanic: "I like being closer to the goal so I can set up the strikers. I am part of the squad and play where the Coach wants me to.” Today he was an advanced playmaker, right behind the strikers, pervious match he was basically a holding midfielder, stayed in his half most of the time and didn't perform well.
He has been the best player in Serie A over the last 3/4 years. He is unplayable when in top form. If he had just scored one of his crucial NT final misses he would be considered tied with Suarez as the best CF in his generation.
Pjanic should have had 3/4 assists vs Empli had his teammates been able to finish. What a player! He is fitting in so well now that Allegri is letting this team loose a bit.
