    From MNU twitter:

@MNUnitedFC: On new players, Dr. McGuire: "I want to allay your fears that we're asleep or cheapskates. There's nobody in the NASL we didn't consider."

    NASL?

Well it's a signing, was it a good signing?

On paper but many of us have never seen him play. I guess we have to wait.

Some people believe this is a waste of money. Why? Rogers and Dr. McGuire I building a soccer club.

Yup. The one concern I would have with him is his age but Mark Schulte's final years with Cleveland, MN, and Carolina were really great. If Tiago comes to the Loons with the same field vision and knowledge of the game that Schulte did I will be very happy with the signing.

Completely agree. At this level most guys aren't coming here to play for the rest of their lives, most see this as a stepping stone to MLS or overseas. I wouldn't doubt the idea of this preseason roadtrip will do more good at attracting talent than hurting it.

Just stopped by to congratulate you on picking up Jamie Watson. I would assume he will have a big role on your side this season. He will quickly be a fan favorite, works hard and leaves it all out on the field. Great in the community. He will be missed in Orlando.

Okay who is replacing Campos for the season? Ramirez is good but he can't do it alone.

Ramirez will be part of the answer. But they'll need something more. Loaned from Derby?

They just got Brazilian Daniel Mendes on loan from Kalmar (Sweden) and have Mackenzie Pridham on trial from Cal Poly. He was a Vancouver draft pick this year. Pridham is more Campos-like in terms of size.

Rumor was Minnesota was after Midfielder Fred but he stayed with Philadelphia.

Hopefully Mendes has enough in the tank to go all year for MNUFC. At 33 he isn't the youngest guy on the team. I've not heard of Pridham, but I am sure he will play 2nd to Ramirez. I expect Ramirez and Mendes to play up top now.
