Wanda ruined two players. Maxi Lopez and now Mauro Icardi. Thinking it over more, any team would be crazy to get involved with them. Stai alla larga da lei!
Maxi wasn't bad. He played with Barca and Milan and who knows if he would or could have done more had he not been involved with Wanda. She said he cheated on her and that's when she went with Icardi. Looking back though, I'm wondering how true that was. I'm sure having your wife cheat on you with one of your good freinds will mess you up as a player. Daniele Derossi's father in-law was killed by the mafia and his wife, Tama Pisnoli subsequently cheated on him with a boxer. Last I hear she was arrested for soome type of scandal. He never really was the same player after that. Anything like that will mess up the mind.....
I watched 2nd halftime against Udinese. Milan seems good, but Udinese deserves higher positions. Romagnoli, Laxalt, Calhanoglu are not so active on that left side. Everything goes on the right side: Abate, later Calabria (2), Castillejo, Cutrone or Piatek. That's why Abate was so tired. Lasagna scored nice goal. Udinese was defending well until 65th minute, than one counter attack happened and goal. After that Milan vanished until 80th minute. Udinese could win in 93rd minute. Calabria, Abate, Romagnoli, Lasagna, Cutrone seem as national team material. Laxalt, Calhanoglu, Bakayoko should show much more in gaming organisation, they are not only defensive players. Probably very expensive transfers. Gatusso is trying to revive the Milan of Ancelotti. Some things are similar. They again use defensive Abate and attacking Calabria on the right side, just like with Dario Simic and Massimo Oddo, who were opposite players. Bakayoko should be Seedorf. Piatek reminds on Gilardino, Cutrone on Inzaghi. Pepe Reina was the goalkeeper. Donnarumma is making his redemption.
Its been a difficult season but it took a lot of trial and error plus Leonardo needing time to make his contribution in order to produce a starting 11 that is actually much better than anything we've had in quite a while. I can live with one more year of no CL if we can maintain a team without any major holes and a striker in Piatek who can actually score with some regularity. Even though we've been inconsistent and unreliable I still wouldn't trade this team for Inter, Napoli or Roma etc. Give these guys another season to sort it all out. As far as Gattuso is concerned I'm partial to keeping him but if someone like Sarri becomes available then you obviously have to explore that opportunity.
We should worry about Atalanta now. Big matches this weekend with Inter, Lazio, us, Roma, Sampdoria. We need to get our shit together.
