That, and the fact that he's already been on loan in Belgium (to Gent for the close of the 2012 season) where he didn't exactly stand out, making only 7 appearances in the 19 games he was eligible for with one assist. Admittedly 10 of those were playoff games, and it would be hard to break into a successful squad, so context does matter, but he went to Rosenborg rather than to Belgium or the Netherlands afterwards. He's been thoroughly scouted at this stage, and he's already 27. It looks like now or never for him.
