    lost 3-0.

10th in table. Seem to be settled in for a uneventful mid-table finish.

What next for Mix - no longer with IFK Goteborg - loan ended (11/17), back to NYCFC?

it will be interesting to see where he ends up. i was going to say i'd imagine he'll stay in scandinavia, but i guess we ought to expect the unexpected with this guy.

If this is true - and it looks like it is - then it is by far the strangest USMNT transfer I've ever seen.

Mix Diskerud has signed a 4.5 year deal with MANCHESTER CITY

Ha! So back to NYCFC (or Melbourne City) on loan.....that’s the only way this makes any sense. I don’t see anyone, any Yank, breaking into Man City any time soon. :D ;)

So do we officially have two players on the books at Man City or are we still waiting for Man City to confirm the news?

It's not like I'm some eternal optimist who thinks Mix is going to go and play 20 games the rest of the year for City... But if he was being loaned out, wouldn't that have already been agreed to? Why would mix (in the other tweets) talk about how excited he is to play for "the best team in the world" if he was being loaned out immediately?

He referenced being part of “organizations” that’s what led me to make my statement about a loan. Granted that’s a stretch for me to make that assumption but my brain says realistically he was little shot to play for MCFC. It would be awesome to be proven wrong. I hope I am. I’d gladly eat crow. Mix has always been a favorite of mine so I’m rooting for him.

Damn right! I like strange and off the wall, head scratching news. YA has been boring lately — Donovan to Leon aside. :D

I haven’t checked this thread in a year, wtf? Didn’t nycfc basically bench him in an attempt to make him opt out of his contract? Now they signed him to a 4 year contract?
