No line up yet published. Heerenveen still in conflict with Alves, who is behaving like a piece of shit considering the fact that he owes Heerenveen for being put in the lime light. Mike received a valuation by "Voetbal International" and "Sportweek" for his performance against Ajax. Both valued it with a 5. "De Telegraaf" valued it with a 7 for the "Player of the Year Award". So as different in opinion as the BS posters. "Sportweek" added the comment that Mike ran his pants off trying to keep Ajax away from the Heerenveen goalie, so no complaints about his working attitude.
I heard he got an "8" from Bob Bradley Magazine but the early reports from BigSoccer claim there's a bias.
Sparta sold its dangerous attacker Bouaouzan to Wigan Athletic, so there's something less to worry about for Mike. I've no idea if there are highlights on the Heerenveen site. But you could try the next time until monday morning on the webssite of television station RTL for high lights of the matches. I think they only have the rights uptill that morning.
Setanta does the Dutch highlight package every week. All I saw was Michael chasing Ajax players in this week's highlights. Only highlight for Veen was their opening goal and Martin Jol's brother, Dick Jol, the referee in the game, yelling at a Veen player for diving. BTW, Dick Jol looks like Gooch times 50. The guy is ripped.
Should we believe Wiki? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Jol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Jol
Think postyers are somehow conflating his play at Hereverereereren with his performances for the US Team. It'd be to nice to have a thread without the banging on the usual hobby horses and dragging out of non sequitours.
Coach Verbeek has been punished. He has a 3 match ban for pushing the 4th official in the match against Ajax. So his mobile phone bill will be very high this month if he wants to instruct the bench from the stands. By the way, I keep getting the "you've already voted" message every time I open a new thread. What's that? I cannot remember voting for something or is the Fraudulent Florida Bush Voting Machine at work here?
Line up according to AD Sportwereld: Goal:---------------------Vandenbussche Defense:--------Zuiverloon-Breuer-Dingsdag-Johansen Midfield:--------------Poulsen- Bak Nielsen-Pranjic ---------------------------------Bradley Attack:------------------Garcia Garcia-Sulejmani kick off 19:30 CET Heerenveen cannot use the new player Radoslaw Matusiak, who got injured in training. The new Brasilian striker Paolo Henrique also willnot debute yet. For the record: Sparta never won at Heerenveen and only got 5 draws.
Gerald Sibon starts as the second striker. Mike is playing his (usual?) center midfield position. Apparently, Sibon scored a "kopbal" in the 32nd. 1-0 H-veen.
There's no stream at myp2p.eu, unfortunately. Also unfortunately, Sparta take the lead with a 'strafschop' (penalty?) from Polak.
That lineup is not entirely accurate. Check out the VI.nl lineups: http://www.vi.nl/Wedstrijden/Wedstrijd.htm?dbid=167897&frommatchcenter=1&typeofpage=84140 Also, H-veen scored to tie it up in the 87th minute. A Sparta own goal, apparently. Mike went 90.
That goal the opinions differ between the networks. The NOS states that the former Carolina Hawk player scored an own goal, but the RTL network claim the score being by Heerenveen. From the slow motion play back it looks like Darryl Roberts was the guilty one, but what can you expect from an attacker trying to defend by heading the ball. In that slit second he might have been thinking that he was at the other side of the field Tonight there is an awkward situation as the awards for the last season are being given away and Alves has the prize for the best player of the season and the prize for the topscorer, while a lot of people think of him at this moment as a disgusting person. I think everybody present at that evening should turn their backs on him when he gets on the stage.
