I would just like to applaud Mike Ashley on the Wonderful job he is doing at St James Park. After getting rid of Sam Allardyce a manager who may have eventually turned things around on Tyneside he then dismisses Mark Hughes and appoints King Kev.

Kevin Keegan, a man who is famous in football for having no bottle has taken on "The biggest job in English Football" if you believe the delusional geordies. A man who blew a 12 point lead when it was easier to win the league, a man who bottled it when the going got tough for his country, a man who walked out on Fulham for the England Job and a man who was desperately found out in modern football with Man City in his previous job.

A tatically naive manager who won nothing when he was the only one spending money is now the Saviour in a league where everyone is spending money. The Geordies are proclaiming they will finish 4th this season now King Kev is back, however those with half a brain know this wont be the case.

You really belive everything the media tells you don't you? With Man City he blitzed the first division and took them to 9th place in the Premiership with only slightly more backing than an average promoted team, using it to bag Anelka, and you call it failure - Roy Keane sits in 18th having spent more than most of the biggest sides in the league and you think he's being harshed the moment someone criticises him.
Even his funding at Newcastle wasn't that exceptional - it was big money, but nothing different than the other big sides at the time:
Beardsley - £1.4m, Cole - £1.7m, Rob Lee £700,000, Ginola £2.5m, big money deals by the standard of the time but only Les Ferdinand's £6m move is anything really exceptional, other than the Shearer deal - if you look at Man Utd, they were spending similar sums on Irwin, Ince, Cantona, Keane and of course £6m+Gillespie on Cole.

He's a great manager for the exact reasons that Gary Megson is such a dull waste of space.

hmm they paid 6m for Warren Batron

Did Keegan take over a team with the tag of worst premiership team ever twice?

Did he take over a club bottom of the old division 2?

Irwin, Ince, Cantona and Keane were purchased over a peroid of about 3-4 years, the majority of Keegans signings were made in one preseason.

Time will tell but im glad King Kev is back

We paid £6 million for Barton the season after we finished 3rd.

Yes we were at the very bottom of Division 1 when Keegan took over

He was at the club for 5 years and made all his signings in one pre-season? This is wrong but lets assume your right. He managed to get a team promoted, to 3rd, 2nd, 2nd in the Premier League and played some of the most attractive football England has ever seen, and he did this by signing all the players in one pre-season. Yet your saying he's a bad manager

I can tell youre a Geordie you cant read.

    I believe i said "Majority"

Yes I beleive the money he spent and for him to win Nothing makes him a bad manager. The whole point of football is to win things and Keegan has won nothing more than a Coca Cola Championship as a manager despite the fact he has always had strong fianancial support from Wardle, Hall and Al Fayed.
