Orozco was on loan, apparently, and has (been) returned to San Luis (and YA status) once more ...

An update on Orozco would be appreciated.

I could've bet that Orozco was going to stayed with Union, but i was wrong. Hopefully some other MLS team gets him either on loan or purchase.

So what's the deal with Michael? Can he play for San Luis this season, and do they even want him? Where's he training currently? Presumably San Luis could loan him to a different MLS club up to the April 15 deadline. I'm sure Vancouver and Portland could both use him.

Agreed. If I were Soehn I'd be on the phone with San Luis, Michael, and his agent and get a deal done ASAP before the window closes. I think he'd form a decent partnership with DeMerit. While he wasn't a standout I think played okay for Philly last year and kinda got a raw deal by not having the loan extended or being signed. But then again Philly looks better defensively so it's worked out for them and that's all they cared about.

hell so does Portland, those two should be in an all out dogfight.

He'd be a returning USMNT player or whatever right? so would he have to go through the lottery? If so the road goes through Chivas USA.

Hell Chivas could use him, too.

weird how Orozco just dissapeared after getting cut by Philly. will he play in Mexico or MLS next season? Anybody know where's he been training, if at all? Maybe he'll be picked up in the MLS summer transfer window.

Who knows anything about his current situation? There isnt even a thread really talking about him on here. This is quite dead...

Is he even owned by San Luis atm?

Just a heads up with Orozco...the first article states that Orozco was invited to come and train with Tigres UANL of Mexico on a tryout...

    http://www.milenio.com/node/705200

As a follow up dated this month, the tryout didn't occur as the player didn't show up (reason wasn't stated)

Really? Cut by Philly and can't show up to tryouts in Mexico and you want every MLS club to pursue him? Past is past, potential doesn't matter, on recent performance, I doubt anyone is thinking Orozco is the answer (and I doubt whether a lottery would be required if someone did decide to take a chance on him)

Does anyone even know where Orozco is? I can't remember a player from decent leagues in North America just completely disappearing like this. He seems to have vanished off the face of the Earth.

Usually when guys are in limbo you at least hear about them having trials.

He wasn't wanted - and his absence coincides with a major upswing in form by Philly. And he hasn't been wanted since either. He obviously has talent, but actual production hasn't been there
