Noted. I just don't think he is anywhere near good enough to be on the World Cup team. I know that Klinsmann likes him and he was probably a few CB spots from making the team, but I'll be worried about the state of our CB's if he is in contention to make the team in 2018.
Cruz Azul defeat Puebla today 1-0 Michael Orozco had a 31st minute own goal-winner for Cruz Azul. Orozco was also given a red card in the 59th minute That sounds like a horrible day
MLS Soccer write up of the red card Then 15 minutes into the second half, the 28-year-old raised his forearm and struck Argentine striker Mariano Pavone near the center of the field as the two collided. It wasn’t done with a lot of force, but Pavone dropped to the ground. It looked intentional enough, and the referee had no hesitation in pulling out the red card. Video of the red card

Orozco went the distance in a 1-0 road loss to Monterrey yesterday. He picked up a late yellow card. Looks like he lined up at left back. Highlights
Michael Orozco Fiscal’s Puebla didn’t fare well either on the road, losing 1-0 in Estadio Tecnológico against Monterrey. Orozco forced a good save from ‘keeper Jonathan Orozco in the 16th minute, when he headed a free kick swung in from the right, and featured on the left side of Rubén Omar Romano’s back three. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...-atlas-suffer-first-apertura-loss-stevie-rodr
American Exports: Former Chivas USA coach Jose Luis Sanchez Sola returns to lead Michael Orozco, Puebla ...Former San Luís defender Orozco was a regular under Romano in his three-man backline, but Sánchez Solá is known for his flexibility in terms of formations and it remains to be seen where the 28-year-old will fit in. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...usa-coach-jose-luis-sanchez-sola-returns-lead El Chelis coaching a fat 41yo Cuauhtemoc Blanco. This will be a highly entertaining zoo.

Guessing what Klinsmann is going to do is never a good idea. I don't think Orozco should have been called in, but Klinsmann does like him.
Michael Orozco’s Puebla came from behind to defeat Morelia 3-2 in José Luis “Chelís” Sánchez Solá’s first game back in charge of La Franja. Orozco – who will join the United States squad in Europe this week - went the full 90 minutes in defense in the victory for Puebla, which moved Puebla level on points with Chivas in the relegation table. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/artic...ozcos-puebla-comes-back-xolos-set-new-manager

Orozco's second yellow is at 1:23. Tough to know what the referee thought was worthy of a caution there.
saw this game and sorry but the Mex league is borderline unwatchable. I swear every game has a red card or 2. this one had 3 red cards and none of them were really that bad. Orozco's was a joke. I'm sure this should go in another thread but the refs just flat out seem to be out of control. Just because the guy falls down doesn't mean it is a foul. Blanco looked 43 years old...oh wait... and he flopped around like a child. Ok, i'm done, sorry.
From my viewpoint, Mexican soccer also has a problem with its tactical mentality right now, too many teams just trying to squeeze out a 1-0, and too much complacency about 0-0's like yesterday. Liga MX would be well served if MLS started to earn some results against it, just to shake things up a little.
That wouldn't make a difference. Coaches are scarred to go for it because they will get fired over the slightest misjudgment. IMO the FMF needs to curtail owners powers but that is completely off topic. Slightly on topic.....now that Orozco is for sure not part of Puebla's next match, he for sure will be called into the upcoming camp .
Orozco played the full match today as Puebla got past Lobos BUAP on PKs and advanced to the CopaMX final.
The CopaMX final was a wild game played in a heavy downpour. Despite being down a man, Puebla managed to come from behind twice yet ended up losing on PKs. The shootout was 4-2 after a 2-2 game. Orozco assisted the late equalizer with a play that was some combination of sheer luck and sheer brilliance. While standing in front of the GK, he stuck his foot backwards and redirected a weakly hit shot to an open teammate. Btw, this was the first time I've seen Cuauhtemoc Blanco play in a while. My word, is he slow.

Orozco went the distance as Puebla started the 2015 Clausura with a 2-1 home win against Club Tijuana. Highlights Puebla are one of 4 teams trying to avoid the relegation sport heading into the 2015 Clausura. During the 2014 Apertura he made 14 starts in the league picking an own goal and 2 red cards along the way. He also made 3 starts in the Copa MX, including the final which Puebla lost to Santos Laguna on penalties.
This was a big win for Puebla, as it lifted them above Chivas in the LigaMX relegation table. The other two teams in danger (Veracruz and U de Guadalajara) both won, as well.
