Oh yes. Its a great way to get a green card. Play 5-6 months (if that) and you are free to live in the USA pretty much for as long as you want. Many old NASL, MISL and MLS players remained stateside after their careers were over.

i love what silva and company are doing. i know they mean well with the long term vision. but i dont see how long the team will last once MLS is officially in town. Silva says they dont plan to work together but eventually somethting has to give. i hope im wrong though.

would be cool tho to have a rivalry, especially since they in different leagues, they will only play.. once a year through Us Open Cup

MLS in Miami would kill the NASL team, just like an EPL in NYC would kill the NY MLS teams or a Liga MX team in LA wold kill the LA MLS/NASL/USL teams.

People just gravitate to the bigger more famous thing, it is natural.

i see small chance for the team to survive. the silver lining here is that theyre located way out west in the suburbs. so theyll just cater to that area of the city. if the academy launches successfully and they continue investing in the community then maybe theres a bit more staying power.

Off topic, but why doesnt Miami FC have their own Sub forum in the NASL section?
    And WTG beating OCSC.

Don't know about the sub forum. Frankly, even this thread doesn't get action, so I don't think it's needed. I hope we get the home game with ATL.

Cheers to your boys, who played a good game and got the reward for fighting until the last. The offense in particular showed some bite and hustle, so fully deserved from my perspective. Hated losing but I can't complain based on what we saw on the field.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Thanks Gunner. I think Nesta and Silva want to win this cup and show they belong and have first division talent. It would be great to see them in concacaf competition.

will ESPN show games the rest of the way? I really hope ESPN captures this Cinderella tournament and runs away with it, people should start watching and going to these games, this way MLS will have to start taking this thing seriously
