I just want a team here in Miami, silva has big money too, maybe not as big as becks, but if Becks aint budging the threat of Miami FC going to MLS will. It would be cool to have two teams but as much as I love soccer, i know we cant support two teams in one league in this city... Would be cool but i think we would have to wait 100 years after we get this team to be viable to have a rivalry, and we all kno miami should be underwater by then Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
Silva received an award for best sports media agency from Dubai Globe Soccer Awards. obviously all the FIFA big wigs attended.

So says the guy that overspent for his plaything last year and commissioned a report saying how USA/Canada need pro/rel... He was practically rooting for Peterson to succeed!
apparently pro/rel solves every single problem in US minor-league soccer going back for decades and decades...lol
Although it remains to be seen if Miami FC has spent $20 million on ground they'll never use. Turf? As in Astro or grass?
Ricardo Silva's investment, $3.7MM, have earned him the right to name FIU Stadium after himself, Miami FC, now plays at Ricardo Silva Stadium. https://www.miamifc.com/news/2017/0...tadium-naming-rights-and-improvement-projects
http://www.espnfc.com/blog/transfer...rancesco-totti-could-continue-career-in-miami Francesco Totti could delay retirement, continue career in Miami
It's cool to see an NASL making a splash, but Totti is 40, would be 41 come playoff time. That's not so much "delaying retirement" as much as it is "going to party it up in Miami with one last paycheck" Hopefully, if he does sign, he actually makes a positive and lasting impact on the club.
Totti doesn't want to leave Roma but he is being pushed out. They want to make him some sort of glorified manager like Javier Zanetti at Inter or Pavel Nedved at Juventus and he has a 6 year contract that is being offered to him but I don't think he wants it. At least not now.....
Totti said yes to Miami! Guess Maldini and Nesta convinced him! http://www.forzaroma.info/calciomer...otti-ha-detto-si-al-miami/?intcmp=totti-miami
At 37 , I believe he was one of the best players at the MLS all star game. Even if he lost something, his experience and vision , not to mention his passing skills are still tops. I don't follow the nasl but I'm sure he will be able to hang on and score some nice goals.
MLS all star games are a bad barometer. Players have 1-2 short training sessions with each other. They get exposed easily by a veteran forward. His success in the nasl depends on service more than his ability.
Yes you are right about those All Star games. I don't know the level of the NASL so I can't judge but I know Totti's skill level and have followed him closely not only in games but in training sessions in recent years and back when I lived in Italy. My cousins are close friends with him and know him well. He is fit and he could play easily for many teams in the Serie A. Granted, I actually don't think he should come over and many times when these Over 35's come over , they seem to be out of their element but he will be with his buddies Nesta and Maldini and he could do very well. I hope he does good and I would love to see him when he comes out to San Francisco.
I think his success in the NASL would depend more on his mentality and patience than anything else. MLS is a significant change from a top euro league. NASL is another change on top of it. A part of me thinks his coming here might be more for becoming a US resident vs coming here on a visa.
