There was a time when I couldn't stand him. He's definitely grown on me. Obviously, he has a few screws loose but dude can ball. Chelsea will rue the day they chose Conte over Costa.

This is Ajax business model. This is how they make money. They take studs (homegrown and bought) and make them World Class players and sell them to large clubs for profit. They are better at it than anyone else and if they like Lainez, I see no reason why he wouldn't have been yet another... Still think Lainez will be a badass tho
I am not entirely convinced that a lateral move to ajax would be beneficial to a kid like Lainez. He's more than capable of competing in la liga right now. It fits his style, he knows the language, and he's got one of our own looking out for him (Guardado). Look at Lozano for example. All he's done in the dutch league is prove to the rest of the world what we've already known. That he's the real deal and that the current league he's in is elementary. I'm sure he'll move to a big club in the summer for a record fee but he was good to go right after the world cup. That kid should already be playing in Spain. Lainez is already ahead of the game.
I think it's more important for Lainez to get his euro passport as quickly as possible, if he already had one, then Ajax would have been better, Spain he can get it faster and then move to bigger teams faster
