No offense but it seems like you are watching these games with the TV off. I was lucky enough to be field level for today's game and at no point did I see anything resembling what you mentioned above. Raul floats, he likes to roam and look for seams in order to get behind the opponent's defense. At no point does that equal him playing as a winger, especially when Corona and Vela had clearly defined roles on the wings that allowed them to cut inside and/or combine with the fullbacks who occupied wide areas. Lo de Vela y Corona estuvo en otro nivel hoy. Corona made a few plays that left people speechless at the stadium. Vela, at times, ran all the way back to cover the Irish winger on his side of the field when Salcedo pinched in towards the center to create a numbers advantage.
That was my exact thought. BSMX is riddled with antis so the cangrejismo will continue until they die off or whenever the mods decide to actually enforce the rules around this dump.
He looked sharp. His mobility, offensively speaking, and tenacity when it came to winning loose balls in the midfield was what allowed Mexico to set the tempo and thus minimize the amount of times Moreno or Reyes had to step into the midfield while Ireland was in transition and looking to attack. He earned another chance to not only be on the roster but to start along with the best Mexico has to offer in the midfield. I would even say he was MoTM along with Corona.
Thanks. Sounds just like him. His work rate at the club level is insane but he doesn't waste his energy a lo pendejo. He's ultra intelligent at what he does. Just extremely slow and tends to gas out at about minute 70.
You know who he reminded me of low-key? A better version if negrito medina. Real efficient and gave the ball to the more talented players immediately....you need unselfish players like that in the midfield. Then he put that nice pass to Vela for the PK. My only worry is he looked really hurried at times on the ball.....wonder how he would look against fast international tier players. I'll take him over Duenas any day tho.
He has the aggresiveness of Gallito and the IQ of CDM Rafa, and he's solid defensively and offensively. A diamond in the rough, hopefully he keeps it up.

According to Tom Marshall, Burrito Hernandez played injured in the second half (seriousness not known yet) and JCO is waiting for Dueñas call to see if he'll be available for wcq
Had no idea they played but I heard it was gewd. Making a list of 23... I'd hate to be Osorio right now. There's a lot of talent available.
I agree to a point but this was his first action in weeks. He was injured at the begining of May so IMO it's no surprise he wasn't match fit. I don't remember anyone questioning his fitness after getting that gol in Columbus He will have to be phased out soon, but IMO he can still give you some quality minutes and is a leader the others will still listen to.
I'm trying to figure out where Vela was playing after Raul went wide. CM? or some weird hybrid between mid and winger?
