Weird for a short practice time game that Mexico looked a lot better collectively than individually. Mexico had a very good game overall but the shooting was atrocious. Good game for a lot of guys. We finally beat Iceland. I'm worried about Chucky Lozano and his miss sitters with the NT. It's not the 1st time. I'm going to skip out on tv shows since I can just see the idiocy already about how the team suck and every rival they play sucks if Mexico does good.
Yes Supposedly they played well..they beat the almighty Iceland "b" team. But most importantly, they banked 2.25 million dollars.
He's not wrong tho lol. I was so excited to watch Orbelin, Lozano, Damm, Gallardo start but it quickly became clear that it was just another molero. Heck, we couldn't even see what was happening on one sideline lmao.
It's a typical early year friendly, he's acting like it's Mexico strongest against a half assed euro squad.
I'm not spazzing, in fact, I'm not taking much away from the game. As I said, it your typical first game of the year. Mexico got a win - great. No need to overcelebrate, or shit on them.
Maybe not the strongest Mexico squad...Iceland basically gave up possession of the ball for most of the game and just waited..Mexico lacked the ideas to brake trough, always trying the same play..which by the way, even the "strongest'" Mexico does all the time. Give the ball to the wings and send crosses to the box...Every single time. Even if it wasn't the best Mexico. Most of these guys have been called up before and all of them have been playing first division for years...
Exactly...Mexico had 75% possession in the first half, took a lead into halftime. Second half, made 6 subs. Still, not once looked liked they'd choke the lead. Several of those crosses from some of the newer guys looked real dangerous, even connecting with just poor excecution. Nothing to be highly critical of, nothing to be too excited about. Edit: at the beginning of the thread, @Rafael Hernandez and @CDPontaDelgada were saying how hard it is to score on Nordic teams.
