Has Mexico announced it's roster for the game yet?

Oswaldo Sánchez - Portero - Guadalajara

José de Jesús Corona - Portero - Atlas

Salvador Carmona - Defensa - Toluca

Duilio Davino - Defensa - América

Omar Briseño - Defensa - Tigres

José Antonio Castro - Defensa - Guadalajara

Carlos Morales - Defensa - Morelia

Héctor Altamirano - Defensa - Santos

Luis Pérez - Medio - Monterrey

Octavio Váldez - Medio - Toluca

Alberto Medina - Medio - Guadalajara

Fernando Arce - Medio - Veracruz

Juan Pablo Rodríguez - Medio - Atlas

Eduardo Rergis - Medio - Atlante

Israel López - Medio - Toluca

Pavel Pardo - Medio - América

Ramón Morales - Medio - Guadalajara

Jesús Arellano - Delantero - Monterrey

Irving Rubirosa - Delantero - Atlante

Omar Bravo - Delantero - Guadalajara

Jared Borgetti - Delantero - Santos

I'm not sure Pardo and Morales will be playing as they sustained injuries in the Brazil game. Other than that look for Borgetti and Bravo to start up front. I'd say Arellano and Valdez are pretty much locks to start in the midfield, Arellano out wide on the right and Valdez in the center. Medina is very likely to come on as a sub. Davino and Carmona will probably start in back and Sanchez will be in goal.

    No Blanco eh?
    Mastroeni will be disappointed.

Is Marquez still serving his four match ban for accosting Cobi?

Blanco's been in hot water with the FMF lately, garnering some kind of suspension for talking smack about someone or somesuch. He also hasn't displayed a very high degree of professionalism in dealing with Lavolpe so far and was also left off the squad that played Brazil. The sentiment is that Lavolpe is looking for other options in that position.

Marquez sat out the games agains Argentina, Columbia, Paraguay and Bolivia and played against Brazil. He'll miss the game this week because he's been called back to club duty with Monaco.

Jared Borgetti was injured this weekend, he will be replaced by Adolfo "el bofo" Bautista of Monarcas Morelia. Also out are Pardo Ramon Morales.

His ban was reduced to 2 games, of which he has yet to serve any. He will probably serve them during the first 2 games of the gold cup.

If Borgetti and Ramon Morales are out, how many players from the World Cup squad will be in the team tomorrow? I count Sanchez, Carmona, and Arellano (all of whom started against the US). Is that it? Just three?

The US has just four of its starters from that game in this camp too (Mastroeni, McBride, Pope, Donovan), so the situations aren't that different.

Maybe not starters but you still have Beasly, Mathis and Stewart who all played in the Worldo Cup..
