Pretty rude by Miazga, but what else will wake me from the coma-inducing play coming from the US lately? Can't wait for Sarachan to start the next game with six CMs in a 4-6-0.

Meh, depends on what you mean by "main squad". It was a roster light on strikers or wingers, and full of a ton of CM's of various flavors. Backline and Steffen are probably effectively the starters (we think we're quite deep at CB, thin at RB/LB), and we're trying to figure out how to use Adams and McKennie, but that's about it.

The midfield and strikers would be different if a competitive game were tomorrow, is another way of putting it.

Hope that helps. And send my thanks to Llanez for breaking Trapp's ankles in the first half, I'm hoping that's the last time we see him auto-start for the US, dude's painfully bad.

I gotta be honest... if those are their future stars (minus pulishit) I'm not impressed. Is that the group they will try to qualify with?! Well good luck because they're gonna need it :D

The game was ruined once Miazga pulled that bullshit

And people wonder why people of second-generation American status who were born in the United States but their parents were not will not support United States national team when it’s marred in racist connotations

It had nothing to do with this Heights but because he was Mexican

Would Miazga do this to a short Italian like Insigne?

A mediocre player that will always be a Lower placed Dutch league team

Tbh I rather see more of these kids even if they lose 4-0 against top teams than our A team. Or maybe start half of these with some players like Herrera, Ochoa, chucky, Vela, and salcedo. These kids play with passion and lots of balls.

I thought the red card was a really harsh call. He was going for the ball and didn't intend to hit the US player.

I was more surprised by the lack of self awareness. One team just finished playing in the wc, the other has been playing friendlies for a year. Acting like it was a final. Maybe he wants to replace Dempsey as the new nad gangster?

It’s a hard call when you think about it. Not all calls can be judged only by intent. The same way some handballs must be judged intentional even though the player probably didn’t mean to have his hand out. The severity of this play is so high that IMO if the ref doesn’t give the red, he loses control of the game entirely. Not sure Zaldivar meant to do it, but I don’t have a problem with the red. It’s more annoying than anything, it was supposed to be a nice little game between two young squads and that play ended the game.

Something that is clear to me is that his behaviour only shows that he was being soccer bullied by Lainez quality. Is like boxers. You know they are hurt when they start saying it didn’t hurt.

I agree. If it were a WC game I'd be pissed because he slipped on the ball not acted recklessly. But in a worthless friendly, it's fine.

It was right on the heels of Miazga's taunting, so I could see a US player thinking it was retaliation. Without a red there, they might be looking to issue street justice.

The first 45 was total Mexican control. The nads began evening the game out in the second half. The game was killed by the red card and poor Mexican substitutions. Although, Tuca didn’t have much to choose from on the bench.

Lainez and the Aretega kid looked like studs. Guzman looked good too.

I don’t need to discus the bad players because we all know who they are lol

You might be reading too much into it. Some micro sized human gets in your face tryna be tough you most likelu would remind him you have foot on him and he dont want it.

That being said, it's the only place he could win because in the sporting aspect lainez had him on skates lol.

Also hes pretty week cuz he didnt want it when my son Edson got in his face.

Shit like this is why we should always win those games.

Those little interactions only empower them because they can slap them on top of the win they got.

I don’t care that there was rivalry banter on the pitch at all

It’s just kinda lame that Miazga chose to do it with the player he was hacking and who put he and his capitan on the grass.

But I’m just glad this killed off some koombaya sh^t

Also lol at that being a strategy and lead to the red card. VAR would’ve overturned that in a second.
