post WC bust can't say I'm sad that Ozil is no longer playing for Germany, besides being an aging player, his club career has been a mess all season.
Agree, but I would give him credit for being one of the major contributors alongside lahm to transform germany to a powerhouse in the peak years leading to 2014 world cup, players like kroos and shwiney were always in the shadows
Özil could be on his way to Italy or China this summer as there's reports from clubs interested over there http://www.fussballtransfers.com/premier-league/ozil-abschied-erste-schritte-eingeleitet_100881

Wenger on Ozil: "Most of the time now we think when we sign a player for five years we have a good player for five years. But that doesn't necessarily mean that they practice, they play their best. Because they might be in their comfort zone." https://www.skysports.com/football/...evels-at-arsenal-after-new-long-term-contract
Yep it's a hot mess For instance Ramsey is now leaving on a free to Juve, but despite playing quite well this season, he is relegated to the bench, and didn't even make the squad for BATE So basically because of politics, we pay one of our best players to do nothing. I mean at least with Ozil you can justify it because they try to force him to leave, but with Ramsey you might as well run him into the ground for the months he has left But oh no - they'd all rather feud like pathetic drama queens.

Mezut Ozil is inviting Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan to his wedding – report Read more at https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/me...turkish-president-wedding#6xpjkAKlj0Bvf1Ls.99 https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/mezut-ozil-recep-tayyip-erdogan-turkish-president-wedding
Focus Magazin posted that on Twitter. In light of Löw’s unceremonious cutting of H/B/M, you think he knew his days were numbered regardless? As far as his new overtures towards Erdogan, I’m not sure he’s really welcome back in Germany. Why doesn’t he just move there if it’s so great?
That's plain wrong. He was one of the players with most sprints and covered distance not only for the NT but for all players in the tourney. He tracked back a lot and did his job in the scheme. Offensively for his standards he was not good but he was played off position. It was clear right from the start that he can't be as influencing on the left in comparison to the center. He also was covered closely by the opponent teams and created a lot of space for his team mates, nontheless. All in all, he wasn't great at the 2014 tourney but he played his role and worked hard for the team. Don't let your mind belitteling his achievements just because of the shitshow he's doing now. One can be perfectly both: a starter for a silverware winning team in 2014 and a spoiled brat nowadays.
I'll disagree... His only real moment of non-glory was the goal missed vs Brazil that led to the 1-7.
