Just wondering, is there a report on this or are you going off his Instagram post?

People here have been saying it would be good if he moved to Huddersfield, and it could happen: Huddersfield's campaign was powered in midfield by three loanees (Aaron Mooy, Kasey Palmer and Isaiah Brown), all of whom will cost money, not least because the rest of the midfield is nowhere near EPL quality. Danny will be on a Bosman, has been a stalwart of Reading since 2013 and so knows the English game, and was trained in Germany at some of their best youth-development-oriented sides (Freiburg & Hoffenheim).

He could easily do a job in the EPL, and his German background & language skills could be very useful in helping German signings adjust to the English game. Huddersield are not a rich club, so they will be very careful about splashing big money on over-priced England-based players. Maybe it won't happen, but I'd be very surprised if it wasn't under consideration.

Certainly makes more sense too given Hud's new German ownership, and German-American coach. Is probably wishful thinking on our part, but would be a clear win-win imo

I assume the reason Danny wasn't called in because of his contract negotiation for 2017-2018. Maybe Bruce & Co. have a better idea than we do about his intentions. EPL hopefully!

Was not on their official retained list but was noted as having been offered a new deal.

Huddersfield will sign former loanee Aaron Mooy from Man City. Doesn't mean Williams can't still sign there to upgrade on their other CM, Jonathan Hogg, or sign elsewhere in the Premier League.

This just broke, but now it's all over the place. Danny Williams will join David Wagner at Huddersfield in the Premier League next season!

Keith Costigan claims it's 100% now.

Awesome move, awesome personally for Danny who took the challenge/risk of going to the C'Ship and will now be rewarded for it.

I say he's the most underrated player in our pool and even in the USA forums is still the butt of many jokes. Watch how suddenly because he'll be in the Prem next season people will be raving about his quality.

Good move for him. He is an immediate upgrade in their midfield next to Mooy. Can't wait to see how they do next year. Mooy is a hell of a player as well.

Good. Hopefully his play earns him a call in. If he does well at his club Bruce can't keep him out.

Newcastle with Yedlin should be fun too.

This will be the best YA season we've had in years coming.

Huddersfield had a nice fairy tale run but will be interesting to see how long they will last in the PL. They had major problems when it came to scoring, they need to buy better forwards and even then who knows if it's even enough.

williams has had some stinkers in a us jersey...he's one of the most "up and down" in terms of performance for the USMNT. he's also played really well some games so maybe this will be the catalyst for him getting back into the team....but lets not pretend he hasn't been without flaws in his game.

I'm glad to see wagner (potentially) helping out the USMNT....hopefully he can sign another yank or two for this season.

War on, Terrier! Danny Williams at Huddersfield Town

Probably in poor taste. How about:
