I'll tell you guys there's at least one pro of the imminent post-Totti era. Coaches won't have to carry the pressure that Spalletti is carrying right now. Everything constantly revolves around him. We won, for God's sake. It was incredibly important to bounce back after the shit Derby and we did it well.
If Montella is back for Milan next season, we definitely should put in a bid for Bacca. Crazy that he prefers Lapadula.
In an important away game that we just won 4-1, it's these kind of comments that actually makes me look forward to the day Totti retires.
It's potentially his last time playing in the San Siro...he could have given him 10 minutes to play. You look forward to the day Totti retires? How does a Roma fan even respond to that.
It would be a different story if the game wasnt closed out...We're up 3-1 with 10 minutes left. How do you not bring on Totti? How do you bring on that garbage can Grenier the last half hour and can't bring on Totti for 10 minutes? Is he really gonna cost you the game. I'm happy for the win but Spalletti not bringing in totti soured the moment. When it showed totti' s face when bruno Peres was coming on I was almost in tears and you look forward to the day totti retires. I don't even want to imagine that day.
You are asking how a Roma fan could be looking forward to the day Totti retires and I am asking how a Roma fan could believe 3-1 with 10 minutes to go is safe. Grenier came on because Nainggolan had to come off. If Spalletti had given him 10 minutes, you people would have been complaining that he's disrespecting him all the same. This is getting ridiculous.
The only part of Spallettis post game interview you forgot to copy was "if I can go back in time I would never come back to roma"
I know a lot of fans think that it will never be the same after Totti but it will. I'm a big Red Wings fan and it was impossible for me to imagine a team without Steve Yzerman. It was odd at first but in no time at all it became normal. To Red Wing fans Stevie Y. was just as iconic as Totti. He still holds the NHL record for longest serving captain in NHL history (20 years as captain). At the time he was the youngest captain in NHL history. He served loyally to the club when they were awful. To many fans he was the Red Wings, just like Totti is Roma to many fans. I guarantee by the end of the season it will be normal, I know many can't imagine it but I guarantee it will.
I'm sure that's true for many people, but I find myself without affection for most of the players, the coach or the owner. A certain magic about Roma feels like it has withered over the last several years and will finally die with Totti's exit.
Same here. Having the curva back has helped a bit, but with this treatment of Totti I find myself disgusted with those running the club. Definitely lost a lot of magic for me. Thought we were different, that made this team special to me. It's alright though, treating the best and most loyal player in your clubs history like garbage in exchange for a 2nd place spot is probably worth it.
Serie A - Le pagelle di Milan-Roma 1-3: che buchi nella difesa di Montella, Dzeko torna a fare il bomber
You have to give Montella credit for having them in 6th that team is very average. The MF is just awful
You speak of Totti like he's some sort of charity case. Which sums it all up perfectly if you ask me.
