Perhaps you havent noticed what I've been saying throughout this thread. Good result. We managed to rest several starters and still get the points. Which is precisely what we should be doing against rubbish sides like Palermo. However I didnt see the need to play Radja for the full 90 mins. With Thursday in mind, Stroot on for Radja at h/t and DDR for Grenier after 60/65mins made more sense. That said you cant argue with the fact that it was Radja and Dzeko who combined to make it 2-0.
Spaletti said that he asked Totti if he wants to come on for the last 10 minutes but Totti told him he has a back pain.
Yes but at what cost? 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 it's 3 points and I think it's better to rest all of them in advance of the Lyon game.
I think LS had a difficult job last night picking his side. Mostly, I think he got it right, but as I mentioned I was disappointed to see Radja play the whole game. He should have come off for Stroot at h/t in my opinion. But, after recent results, this was a positive win and a confidence/morale boosting one for the likes of Grenier/Rui/El Sha. Lets just hope Radja's engine will be humming on Thursday despite another 90mins in his legs last night.
Bruno Peres is a serious doubt for #RomaOL, as he picked up a thigh strain against #Palermo. https://t.co/dbxL4Ph34q #UEL #ASRoma #TeamOL pic.twitter.com/jiuFB3YKGi— Football Italia (@footballitalia) March 14, 2017
Considering we need goals and after watching Barca vs PSG and the way they used Neymar in a sort of wing-back roll I'd try SES there. He's good at crossing, can make good runs in the MF and tracks back.
