Dzeko, Fazio and Kolarov suspended. DDR, Manolas, Pellegrini and of course Under (still) are out with injury. So, if Claudio is gonna navigate Roma toward calmer waters and victory in this match, he's gonna have to do it without some key players here.

If Claudio does deliver a top 4 finish, then I suppose we may look back on this sorry mess of horrid derby defeats, CL eliminations and staff dismissals as a blessing in disguise.

Personally I don't think Roma would have finished top 4 if Di Fra remained in charge. I came to that conclusion in the last couple weeks. I mean, just look at the last 5 games.

    Roma 2-1 Porto
    Roma 2-1 Bologna
    Frosinone 2-3 Roma
    Lazio 3-0 Roma
    Porto 3-1 Roma

The Porto victory was the only decent performance here. Sure we beat Bologna and Frosinone but in truth we were terrible in those games. Bologna genuinely could have been 2 or 3 goals up at half-time with better finishing and we needed a 95th minute goal to see off Frosinone. The final two results speak for themselves. Not exactly the form of a team on it's way to securing top 4.

I wish Claudio the best and I think we should be grateful he was both available and willing to come in to try and save our season. He has got a very tough job on his hands but he'll surely give it his best. It's a shame he has to deal with so many absentees first up, but at least the next couple fixtures are, relatively, kind.

We run the real risk of finishing like 8th.

I hope Karsdorp starts. We really need him and Schick to work out.

So it looks like SES could play central... I'm kind of interested to see how that works

To me, this is the most exciting game of the season. Can't wait to see what the team can produce under Ranieri. Yes it is too early to judge but they don't have much games to take their time.

This is Schick's chance to redeem himself. Zaniolo in the center and two fast wingers.

Desperately need to win for several reasons. Which such a depleted squad for Claudio's first game at the helm I just want a victory tonight, dont care how we get it.

And Kluivert. He's younger but has shown less than any of the hawt young prospects so far IMO.

Schick is the king of almost, and Karsdorp's quality is clear, his work ethic is not (at least not in a good way).
