I'm dying to understand EDF's rational for keeping Dzeko on for 90+ mins every match when he's clearly struggling L
Yea, I don't understand that. He's done the same thing with Kolarov, the only reason I think he didn't play today was because of the CL game next week.
Ugly game but give them credit. They were able to win away against a team in the top half of the table.
I have no idea.. none at all. Hopefully they can turn this around quickly because we have some tough matches vs Napoli, ACM, Torino, Fiorentina, Lazio, Juve ahead of us.
If teams are just gonna dare Ünder to hit them, he'll certainly oblige. Hopefully Cengiz has a nice fake he's practicing for when they start respecting his shot.
A mostly ugly game of football which was largely down to Udinese really (although we played our part at times too), who were awful. We all know Roma have a tendency to stoop to the oppositions level at times. But another win and another thoroughly deserved one. Are we a joy to watch? No. Do we play consistently good football? No. We haven't done for some time now. But despite that we continue to dominate these games and recently have started winning again. For that reason, I think we can be content, for now. Roll on Shakhtar.
Maybe EdF is going to surprise us and bench Dzeko against Shakhtar. A front 3 of Perotti, Defrel and Under could be interesting. I wont be holding my breath though.
No doubt he does. Just hope hes the kind of guy to keep his head down and keep working. He's got it sitting on a plate in front of him if he wants it bad enough.
I think if Defrel was given a run of games alongside those 2 people he would make people eat their words. However to do so in that game would be a risk to far. If it went wrong he would be slaughtered. Today was the day to try it first. Hopefully he can try it in some coming S.A. games. Defrel has done enough now to warrant a chance to play 90mins in his best role.
Personally, I havent had a bad word to say about Defrel. I might be one of the few who actually thinks he has been pretty decent for us when he has played. His injury setbacks were unfortunate. But the first thing I look for in a player is simply effort and he certainly hasnt lacked in that regard. Now, I admit I would have said something similar about a certain Iturbe once upon a time (not the only one mind, #saveiturbe), but I'm pretty confident Defrel has a lot more about him than Iturbe (a brain for example).
Weird, 3 wins a row and no beautiful posts from @LordNelson. Guess he doesn't have anything to say about our Zeman Lover or Toe-Rag Monchi
Inter lose again, we are third now. We have 2 tricky fixtures coming up against Milan and Napoli, if we come out of this still third then we have great chance of securing top 3/4.
Lazio's schedule is not better, we have much easier schedule than both of them if we get through the next 2 games.
