Inter are going to lose the third spot, and if I could go to Vegas and make a bet on them finishing fifth, I would.

lol , just brutal. May as well go for the full calendar year.

Why people think he's some irreplaceable stud is beyond me.

Thats our best bet. I can see Milan keeping up with us, especially if we go deep in CL.

We won't finish fourth. I am OK with EL anyway, but I think there are at least four teams better than us.

Manolas is overworked. He masks how weak the defence is, hardly suprising since - Bianda apart - there has been no investment in CD since Rudiger in 2015.

It's not that he's irreplaceable. It's that even in games when he's off he offers so much more than Shick.

I'm not opposed to Roma moving on this summer, but they need to bring in someone more able than Shick as his replacement and I'm not sure Roma has the funds to do that. Especially if they miss UCL.

Yeah, he certainly holds up play better , and can win more physical duels , but I think we should also consider how his total lack of pace makes us cater to him as well. We really can't counter with any kind of quick action because Dzeko not only can't run behind defenses , but he doesn't even make the runs. And defensively, part of the reason our press is so ass is because Dzeko doesn't do it 75% of the time , and if he does, it's usually too late to really effect anything. This is why EDF has recently adopted pressing one of our pivots. We really shouldn't have to do that , but we do.

At least with Schick , our press is semi-fuctional/productive.

That said, getting an established bona-fide elite striker is definitely something we can't afford , but replacing a striker who's being out scored by a left back and hasn't scored at home in almost a year is something we definitely can, imo.

I don’t think Dzeko offers more than Schick (especially when Schick was finding form)

I think y’all who watch Dzeko and think he is a starting quality player are blind

Man, Karsdorp needs to stay healthy because that was a bad outing from Florenzi.

No need to state the obvious, but Fazio cannot start after this year.

Not sure what was up with Cristante today, but one of his worst games in a Roma shirt.

Dzeko was meh, wish he treated each game as a CL match.

We have to go through Hell every game - even against rubbish opposition. Olsen had a better game today, still his many horrific mistakes far out number his " great " saves. With this team - we will not be getting 4th. Our clueless management have already their excuses anyway - it is because " Il Grande Milan " are back.... biggest lump of crap I have ever heard.

Very fortunate to come away with 3pts tonight. Performances like tonights will not see us finish top 4.

Dzeko, CL notwithstanding, has been garbage since Spalletti left

I don't know if it's his fault or EDF's, imo both should be gone come the end if the season

I know there is a lot of frustration with guys like Cristante, Dzeko, Fazio, Florenzi.

I know we all want the new hotness and great new toys. But is anyone else concerned with Kluivert. He offered next to nothing tonight in a prime opportunity against a bad side. I'm not saying he won't eventually become an integral part of the team, but this feels like a lost season for him.

I'd settle for just Fazio gone , in all honestly. I can at least tolerate the rest , and I actually like Bryan quite a bit.

As for Kluivert, it depends on your definition of a "lost" season, I suppose. He's only 19 and has spoken about the steep learning curve Serie A is.

    Just gotta stay patient.

He made one terrific save off a deflection. Also made some nice ones from in tight , though it could be argued a couple of them were his fault in the first place.
