Right subs at the right time. That's the only positive thing from the 2nd half. I also think that Radja's performance after the red card was crucial. Stabilized our midfield while still making some good runs forward. Oh and Manolas' reaction after the whistle says everything about our recent form and how it's affecting the players.
The only real flaw in Fazio's game is his speed. He's great with the ball at his feet, a very good passer, strong and good in the air.
I would've brought on Defrel 10 minutes earlier. Manolas legitimately is a crazy person. Loved it though.
I think I would have called it a day for this season if those wasters equalised. Both Pelle and Radja suspended for the next match. Thankfully it's Benevento and I guess it means a guaranteed start for Gerson.
This team is just very bad and there is no 2 ways about it. Forget the red card.. if we played like that against 2/3 of the teams in the league it would have been a loss or a draw.
Good win, should have been an easier match if we scored any of our chances. Next match we will have DDR back to replace Ninja/Pellegrini. I don't know if its the formation change, poor competition or something else , but we were much better going forward today. Hopefully we build on this performance.
Džeko sucks, he's not worth such money at all. Lazy, can't score, doesn't even make pressure to opposite sides defenders. We should stop to pay the wage for him until he shows results. From start of the season Kolarov can't make any normal cross to the center. Well, to be honest, maybe he made max five solid crosses. He's Balzaretti...
Defrel created more for his teamates in 2 minutes. We throw alley-oops to Dzeko all game and he might have fought for a ball once when we were 10 men down. Like , how can I respect a guy like that?
We had a few chances but the reality very few of them were chances we created... they were chances given to us by horrific play by the 2nd worst defensive team in the league. Those chances are not going to come to us against the top 15 teams in this league. In fact Roma had fewer chances/shots on goal than most teams that play HV. Terrible passing, no creativity, terrible give aways, no off the ball movement. That performance is a loss or a draw against almost any other team.
Yeah , I just don't agree with this. Either way, I take comfort in Under/Gerson/Pellegrini getting more minutes.
yea, I agree. Until his stupid foul Pellegrini had played well. At this point they should play those 3 as much as possible.
We're playing Benevento next weekend? Take the opportunity to rest Kolarov and Dzeko and start JJ and Defrel at LB and CF respectively. Give the old timers a much needed and long overdue rest, while giving the subs some much needed minutes in their legs.

Agreed. I'm not sure what game some people were watching but today was a distinct improvement. Perfect? No, but certainly better. It's the first time for some time that we've come away from a game that we've not only won, but should of won easily.
