I was scared at the break, but fortunately, we saw a different second half. Very important win, considering Inter and Napoli dropped points. Hopefully the players won't play too much in the international friendlies.
Very good 2nd half. Great win. We could easily have scored a couple more. Gerson has arrived. Took his two goals so well.
Who wants to say the S-word? 2nd half was fine. Lucky goal from Manolas but we didn't give them as many scoring opportunities as in the first half. And maybe Gerson is the left footed RW we've been searching for.
Juventus from the last few years finds a way to win a game like that, Roma from the last few years finds a way to lose or draw that game. Huge 3 points. Rest up.
If Napoli, Inter, or Lazio had the amount of injuries we've had to deal with this season they would be mid table right now. And yet here we are still breathing down their necks with a game in hand.
What did you expect with a new manager but I think hes doing better than anyone could have imagined. The two loses were tough on us. Inter was a robbery and against Napoli we were very short on players and lose to an individual mistake. This team is growing. Thats what matters.
Five points between 1st and 5th, with 4 and 5 having a game in hand. Could be a fun campaign. I'm torn because we've lost to direct rivals at home, but it also took a month or so to get the team into gear.
These are the games we would have dropped points in the past. These are the games Juve finds a way to win. I love how EDF is finding ways to work the young players in and developing them.
Napoli's lack of depth coming off the bench is bound to catch up with them, and Inter is not as good as their fans would like to think they are....
Napoli of today reminds me of Roma 2008, or even Roma in Garcia's first 2 years. Media darlings, early scudetto favorites, but the season is looong and they may not have what it takes
First 11 fit and healthy i still think theyre the best but jan will tell us how serious they are. They need nian and perotti level jan additions in the side which are hard to come by mid season but not impossible.
Would have been real nice for Defrel to get his goal. Should have done better on the first but the second was a real good save from Sportiello. Also, the work rate and mentality are telling. At the end of the game today, despite clear frustration from not scoring much lately, Dzeko sprinted and tracked all the way back to cover/ help Flo at rb. Loved it.
Yeah, the dude needs his confidence. He's really the only signing Monchi made that has me concerned (concerned may be a strong word). Outside of Schick, who can't make it outside his front door in the morning without a new injury, they've all been ranging from good to great, IMO. Oh yeah, and Karsdorp. I guess I should be most worried about him, lol.
