Long time daily reader here, occasional commenter. Now that the cuck (thirty years of age and had to look that one up in the dictionary) spamming is over and the games begin I thought I would add my $0.02.

The good news is we didn’t get scored on three times today because of an overcommitted strong midfield/offense; it truly was due to poor defending. I almost fear if JJ played out of his mind Petrachi would be satisfied with the current lineup. It is clear we need the best defender we can get (not Rugani). I think one TBD starter +Fazio+Mancini who I think long term will work out will should be fairly sufficient until the winter transfer market where Petrachi can re assess.

That and the fact that we play incredibly sexy football with a bunch of youngsters is today’s silver lining. TBD if the Fonseca experiment works out, but it’s going to be an exciting season either way.

Fonseca be like: Defense is riddled with mediocre, but I'll see what I can do.

Florenzi’s decision making might be his worst attribute. There was one instance when he was surging down his flank, Dzeko was between the CBs and we had 3 other attackers going down the center and left wing, instead of waiting a second and passing the ball back into the center, he forces it into Dzeko, when he had no chance.

Excited when we can start Spinna and Zappa.

Missed the game, but perhaps that's not such a bad thing.

Caught the highlights, though. Like I said, we're totally fcuked if Juan is a regular starter. He should be playing for Chievo or in the MLS.

Pretty goals scored by us, though. I'll give us that.

It totally is. He chooses the wrong option like 75% of the time.

As opposed to the other speed he plays at?

From last season I was wondering if he is on Aquilani’s level, Pellegrini has transformed to yet another this season, I just love him so bad.

He's good, man. Decision making in the final 3rd, consistency, and his shot are the things he needs to improve upon, and those are things that can be improved with work and time.

Always been a big fan, and will continue to be.

I think it was a positive result, especially being Fonseca's first game.

Genoa played very well (Andreazzoli is an excellent coach, something he already proved at Empoli) and I expect they will compete or a EL position this season.

I want to note that Cristante was poor again; a mediocre player I'm afraid.

As I stated the day we signed Veretout, I think Bryan's playing time is gunna take a hit.

I'm still undecided on how I feel about him, but I'm willing to give him this season before I make any conclusive statements.

Perotti will be out for 45-60 days.

Sigh... I like Perotti, but the truth is that we cannot rely on him. We should have let him go and brought a replacement.

Probably no one wanted to pay for him. We can't get anyone that's good enough for 10 million.

Just watched the first half now. Overall very good from everyone apart from a couple of obvious passing errors but nothing unexpected in a game. I have seen a few comments about Cristante being poor so it must have been in the second half as he was very strong in controlling the game in the 1st.

Just regards the pen, Fazio's attempt to win the header was pathetic before Jesus rushed in. They need a world class defender.

Expect more pathetic performances with two horrible central defenders. All you dipsticks still talking about how great this team is and exciting will soon see how bad this team is.

Enjoy our new Olsen doing crap again and Fazio getting ripped to pieces. Next week Lazio will humiliate us.

Most of you are more American fans then Roma fans anyway, so it shouldn't be too bad.

P.S . Where is Schick, you all said he was the greatest thing since Totti. ( serious question )

If I recall correctly, Monchi renewed his contract but not that of SES; a big mistake.

One ended 4-0 and the other 3-3. This team has huge potential if they can fix the defence.

I said Cristante needed to be very disciplined and he was the 1st half. I lost track of him in the 2nd though.
