I have no idea where his regular thread is but figured it’s a decent enough matchup that he deserves a gameday thread. McKennie never gets enough love. Let’s hope Schalke perform where they should be this season and makes their games more exciting!
This is not a very good Bayern. This season Dortmund will have to make an extra effort not to win the Salatschüssel.
Great save from the Nübel to keep it 0-0 in the 16'. Wes hasn't been asked to do much yet, but he's playing more of a destroyer role than box to box thus far. My stream is pretty far behind, but this Kenny dude has been shambolic thus far at Schalke.
While this Bayern isn't as good at the early 2010s Bayern teams, I think they're better than last season (although so is Dortmund). And will be favorites. PK to Bayern, McKennie not involved.
Yeah, I’ve got 2 games on, Liverpool v Arsenal, and every time the announcer says “Kenny”, I have to look to see if he meant Mc-Kennie.
Forgot I had cable TV and didn't have to find a stream. Wes has taken on a more B2B role and Schalke has been on a little bit more of the front foot. 41' minute now.
McKennie doing well connecting defense and attack, but Schalke is toothless with the likes of Harit and Mascarell shooting always to the keeper's hands. PS: According to the stream I'm watching, Dave Wagner told a journalist at half time that he's happy to be losing only by one at the half.
That's a yellow for anyone but Bayern. PS: Are you people watching this??? The Bayern players are using their hands left and right, knowing the ref is not giving anything to Schalke. Scandalous.
Jesus Christ that was a delicious ball from Wes at the 82' and should have been an assist, but the guy couldn't friggin take the goal. Supposedly offside too, but it didn't look so to me on first sight.
