McKennie is in the starting XI for Schalke; Wright is not in the 18. Morales is in the starting XI for Dusseldorf. The Round of 16 match kicks off at 2:45 PM Eastern and is available on ESPN3.

WM playing a dual 8 with Bentaleb, it looks like, though he's dropped as a 6 in front of the back 4 a few times.
Yank-on-Yank violence. McKennie slammed Morales in the ribs going for a header, and Morales is down receiving treatment.
29': left-footed wonder goal by Kutucu, curled beautifully to the far post. McKennie with the flick-on from a throw, Uth plays it to Kutucu, who will score few goals prettier than that in his career. Schalke 1 - 0 Dusseldorf
Schalke attack much more flowing today...didn't create dangerous chances before the goal but they look a lot better getting to Dusseldorf's box
35': Morales just tried to hit one with the outside of his right foot, first-time, from about 25 yards. Went over, but had some good bend on it.
COuple of terrible passes from Weston over the past 10 minutes. Last one creates really dangerous piece where the CD has to rashly take down the attacker and draws a yellow, could've been red.
ewww, Jeffry Bruma picks up a yellow and WM owes him dinner after a poorly conceived backpass is intercepted by Dusseldorf and it became man or ball, not both
I'm not thinking Weston looks all that bad tonight...he's doing his main job well in providing defensive cover and cycling the ball around. Made a couple runs forward and the final ball has been underwhelming but he's bringing it a long way up and S04 attackers not making a lot of dynamic runs when he goes.
Schalke make it 2. McKennie gets on the end of another corner, heads it at the keeper who saves, but can't hang on, and Sane bangs in the rebound. For a game where he hasn't been particularly sharp in the attack, McKennie has been really influential in the scoring.
McKennie looks to be a factor on set pieces. Set pieces used to be huge for the U.S. in the 2000's. They kind of lost that when the Bocanegra generation retired. Maybe McKennie and the improvement of Miazga in the air can help bring that back.
Schalke almost makes it 3! Another set piece, Sane puts it off one post, Kutucu puts it off the other post, and it's cleared.
