#PL2: Into three minutes of added time. Olosunde hit post for @ManUtd moments ago. 3-0, 90mins #COYS— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) August 25, 2017
Starts for U23s: Reserves: #MUFC v Chelsea (A) - O'Hara, Riley, Olosunde, Warren, Mitchell, Whelan, Hamilton, Dearnley, Buffonge, Kehinde, Wilson.— Manchester United (@ManUtd) September 18, 2017
Matthew played the entire game, defense gave up 2 goals to drop points after going 2-0 up. Very rainy in the 2nd half, apparently. No mention of Olosunde in the writeup. Again. If he wants to progress, needs a loan. http://www.manutd.com/en/Players-An...ign=ManUtd&utm_medium=post&utm_source=twitter
Reserves play here in a few hours, but have a very "cool story, bro" update. Listening to a Manchester United podcast called the Rantcast this week, Matthew was namechecked at roughly 56 minutes as a player killing it with the reserves and maybe worthy of a look in the Carabao Cup. Obviously it didn't happen, but when a non-American centric outlet mentions a Yank as doing very well, it is always a good sign. Still think he needs a loan, but all good news is good news.
Man U reserves lost 2-1, but more importantly Olosunde was taken off the field in a stretcher. Apparently, it looks serious.
Ok, I'm a little confused with is situation. Reserves: HT - 1 Oldham 0. Matthew Olosunde converted Regan Poole's cross in emphatic fashion to separate the sides at th…— Amie Morris (@amiemorris51) October 11, 2017 This source says he recently scored, while apparently another source talked to him, and said he still isn't even back yet. INJURY UPDATE: Matthew Olosunde is still out injured with the injury picked up v Derby. He hopes to be back soon is what he told me.— Manchester United 🔰 (@_Man_Utd_FC) October 16, 2017 Are there multiple Matthew Olosunde's on Manchester United?
I think he's injured. The first account you quoted could be a bot - it appears to scrape random tweets and regurgitate them. This, from August 2016, is the source: Reserves: HT - #MUFC 1 Oldham 0. Matthew Olosunde converted Regan Poole's cross in emphatic fashion to separate the sides at the break.— Manchester United (@ManUtd) August 2, 2016
You gotta wonder if this is the Russians spreading misinformation to divide and spread discontent amongst US Youth soccer nerds

Our nation's intelligence services should consult Manchesrer United on how to hide news. The reserves are a black hole of information. Most recent article I can find is a pipe dream piece from a Nigerian source saying Olosunde should hope for a debut in the Carabao Cup. It calls him a Nigerian player. Which is incredible in its delusion. No mention of his injury or what the deal is though. Here is the "piece" if you feel like a laugh. https://m.guardian.ng/sport/carabao-cup-takes-iheanacho-back-to-manchester-city/
Finally! I've found some news on him, and positive as well! Back in training maybe a week ago? Article was published a week ago, so I have no idea how long he's been in training but he's back. http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-F...d-to-make-comeback-against-athletic-club.aspx
Matthew started today went 90 in Man Utd. U23 2 - 0 win over Celtic U23 in Premier League International Cup

Olosunde has played CB afew times this season. Rotated between there and right back. A couple of injuries in the reserves have forced the manager’s hand to do that.
Well, this is odd. An SBNation fan post says that Olosunde got some 1st team training this past week with match congestion requiring extra bodies. Will look for confirmation. https://www.starsandstripesfc.com/2017/12/31/16835428/weekly-youth-update-12-31 Edit: And here we go. Couple links. https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...omes-Mitchell-Gribbin-Dearnley-Bohui-Olosunde http://www.manchestereveningnews.co...l-news/man-utd-news-academy-fixtures-14090567
Good sign that he can get some training time with the first team. Needs a loan to start proving whether he can play first team soccer.
agreed that he needs a loan... not too excited about 1st team training. While it's nice, i'm sure he was only there because members of the squad were given days off between a stupid schedule of games. The ol' "I played college soccer" but really, you were just training ground fodder.
